My message to RIOT regarding LORE

Dear Riot,

I understand you still seem to be having technical issues with putting the lore up.

However I don't understand why you haven't released the lore if the lore itself is supposedly done and all that is holding your side up is a technical issue. I mean no malice towards your department or indivduals. Yet it does irk me that six months or half a year has gone by since the Shurima Event and then nothing has happened. Champions that were meant to get Lore Updates are now in Lore Limbo as we only have the summaries. As every day that goes by only worsens the situation. Although you have tried not to be silent, it is bizarre to say the least that with the changes and different directions to your department has been going through. I understand Lore is not the most important thing but when changed like it was with the Shurima Event with no follow up for now six months, it makes one wonder and question what is happening. I simply wish to have a civil discussion and see if we can come to an understanding to see what can be done.

Signed, Frosty Hoodoo

Well at least its not the usual negativity directed towards them. Hopefully they see this and other similar posts that just want the lore to be released.

Think of the lore of Runeterra basically getting a Full Relaunch. Now some elements of the old lore may still be present even some events may still stay the same, but the overall end product will be totally reworked upon. My only complaint is that why Riot didnt done this sooner, before they had more than 50+ champions in the game. The original lore of the game is so constricting for world building and character building than this had to have happened, the retcon was inevitable (Dota games are an example of a MOBA game which did not have lore in mind when it was created, same with old LoL, Dawngate was the exception)

Now the reason as to why its taking them so long comes from the fact that they didnt plan this retcon sooner. There was preexisting lore of the game that was already made that needs to be reworked upon similar to how you need to do a Visual or Gameplay Update on a Champion. It takes time to fix it all, to polish it to todays standards, same with lore. The reason why we didnt get a conclusion of any storyline now is that the amount of work Riot needs to do for the Lore Full Relaunch which is staggering. Say what you will about Riot but calling them lazy is wrong on so many levels. In fact, they are now working more than ever in the history of their company to release more quality things. The lore we all want wont be released until the quality of it is worth it for us, the players (and no, the lore revolving around Champions is not what you would call the main lore, it only gives us glimpses of what the end result will have in store).
