Shurima Seems Like A Pretty Crappy Place To Live, Right Now

After the new lore updates for Nidalee, Rengar, and Zyra, all of which I loved, I did some studying, and currently, Shurima seems like the worst region to live in compared to all the others, not counting the Void and the Shadow Isles.

With Zyra's new lore, her plants are constantly growing and expanding eastward into the mainland of Shurima, and so far, show no signs in stopping their growth, and we already know Zyra holds no regard for human life.

The Void is more present in Shurima than anywhere else, what with nearly a fifth of the Shuriman continent being Void corrupted, with Void creatures being a common sight all across Shurima.

Noxus has already shown interest in wanting to conquoer Shurima, with them already having taken some land. While this in and of itself isn't terrible, we know that those who don't bend their knee to the empire face almost certain destruction.

Shurima itself isn't the most structured or organized country, with tribes, raiders, and skirmishers in constant conflict and war between themselves, as we've learned from Sivir's lore, always fighting over the scarce resources of the desert.

Now with the return of Azir, who wishes to bring about a new Shuriman Empire, which would come into conflict with those currently in charge, as well as coming into conflict with Noxus, since they want to take control of Shurima. With the return of Xerath as well, Shuriman faces a coming age of war, strife, and oblivion at the hands of these two near god-like beings, with Renekton and Nasus, as well as some other Ascended that may have survived, probably taking part in the battles that are to come.

All in all, Shurima is the last place where I'd want to be right now.

Ezreal "They say Shurima's a nice place to visit, but you wouldn't wanna live there. I certainly don't."

Yeah but it used to be, which is kinda the point. Before the "incident", Shurima was supposed to be a blooming oasis. The fact that it's a wasteland now is supposed to convey this.

Well I doubt Shurima would face destruction if it opposes Noxus. Afterall they are already in the process of unification thanks to Azir, and Azir is almost unbeatable in the desert, so he could defend long enough against Noxus for Nasus to train an army. Also those currently in charge, yeah most of them joined Azir. Maybe they will be part of a council. They don't really need to fight among themselves anymore since Azir made a big ass river. But yeah Shurima is a pretty crappy place to live rn considering the only good thing to happen to it was Azir, and there are much more bad things to happen to it (Xerath, the Void, Noxus)

agreed , Shurima with it's desert , and most of the champions names sound Arabic , and yes living in middle east is kind of crappy which makes sense

Idk, I’d still say Zaun or Noxus.
