Who Crippled Jhin?

If you look at Jhin, you will see he is missing

1 Arm 2 legs Possibly a face.

Before his hextechnic modification, he would have been crippled. Unless of course...he modified himself on purpose -but if he did I would have expected an interaction with Viktor. How did he acquire these wounds? Were they from the Noxian Invasion, or are they much older than that?

Given that most characters are not born crazy, but become insane after some traumatic event, I wonder what it could have been? I hazard a guess, it may be something he survived that changed him forever.
