Who Crippled Jhin?

If you look at Jhin, you will see he is missing

1 Arm 2 legs Possibly a face.

Before his hextechnic modification, he would have been crippled. Unless of course...he modified himself on purpose -but if he did I would have expected an interaction with Viktor. How did he acquire these wounds? Were they from the Noxian Invasion, or are they much older than that?

Given that most characters are not born crazy, but become insane after some traumatic event, I wonder what it could have been? I hazard a guess, it may be something he survived that changed him forever.

We know what he is now, but what did Jhin USE to be?

From what his quotes seem to say, Jhin was likely always the psychopathic Virtuoso he is; he clearly seems to originate from Ionia (or, at the very least, is exceedingly well-versed in its history, although it's more likely the former since he knows the Kinkou Order). He likely had some sort of obscure and exceedingly violent theatrics that he displayed openly, but was likely shut down (and somewhat less but still likely, crippled) by Shen's father, upholding the balance of life and death by stopping Jhin's murder spree. It also seems clear that this was more than irksome to Jhin, who's enraged at Zed for killing Shen's father before he had the chance - taking it out instead on both his greatest pupils, Shen and Zed. Though, my biggest question is, how did an Ionian come to find such impressive Techmaturgy to have a prosthetic arm, three-part pistol/rifle/cannon, and prosthetic shins? Although these answers are likely to be found later near his release, it's still interesting to think of.

He got busted out of the gulag to work as an assassin for a "dark" group in the Ionion government.

I think in one of his quotes he does mention that he cuts himself up,which is kind of disturbing,because with someone like jhin,you never know how far he'll take that.
