Apparently the Void is living, so it could be corrupted by the Ruination as well. But I like the idea of a Void/Isles confrontation. -JohnODyin

Holy crap. The Void is alive. Is this like, a known thing that I've just never heard about?
So from this, I'm guessing that the Void isn't actually a dimension, but a spirit-like being that exists outside of dimensions (like Bard?). And I guess this being kinda, "personified" itself into a landscape? And things started growing out of it's essence?
Someone discuss this with me.

EDIT: Guys, I have no doubt that Voidborn and Voidlings are alive. I'm focusing more on the possibility that the Void itself is alive. Like, this whole pocket dimension is a sentient being, like a spirit or something that's taken form and is now spawning creatures that live in it.

The Void is in that way alive as that its natural process is to 'devour' and assimilate other places outside its own universe. The Targon lore is the best example for that

If I'm reading it right, then the Void itself is more or less a whole universe that is an organism?

Or is he just saying that Void critters count as alive so the Black Mist would have an impact on them?

If the former, then that's the single most concrete bit of information we've gotten about the Void yet. If the latter then... well... we already knew that voidlings and Voidborn were 'alive' in some sense of the word.

It is another dimension, it is like another universe. Everything works different in there. Creatures from there are extremely different compare to Runeterran ones but seems like they're still living beings. It is like they're aliens of different dimension. Think like creatures of the Mist by Stephen King. They came from another dimension too.

I mean, was there anything implying that void creatures weren't alive?

So The Void is like The Great Devourer from Warhammer 40k? That is absolutely terrifying

I think he means that the Void belongs to the living realm, even if it's another dimension or interdimension, which means that Runeterran voidborns that come in contact with the Black Mist can be consumed and possibly even corrupted.
