Brilliant.

I love it when Riot tells stories through multiple skin splashes, or gives shout outs to other skins like how Frozen Shen is fighting Shockblade Zed.

I'm not convinced.

What's in common:

  • Lit by a full moon outside
  • Lit by candles inside
  • There's a book

What's different:

  • The windows are completely different.
  • Zigg's windows are thin and tall
  • Lux's windows are much shorter and fatter
  • The room itself isn't burning/burt
  • Near the window of Zigg's you see a fire burning on the floor, chared book, bits of chared parchment, etc.
  • In Lux's splash there's no sign of burnt artifacts
  • The room's state of repair
  • Zigg's room has columns falling apart
  • Lux's room, while showing minor signs of neglect (a few cobwebs) seems well maintained

We can see who Lux is stealing from though. Look in the shadows, on the ladder above the book. It's Veigar! Wait, no no, that's a caster minion (doesn't have the right hat to be Veigar :P).

Yeah Riot used to love doing little bits of easter eggs in splash arts. I have no idea why they stopped though.
