Her current model is pretty outdated and noodle-y.

Her model is fine, not terrible. But I do think she does need a small VU.
Compared to Taric and Yorick, Akali is fine to me.
Moreover, her useful green forest camouflage is rendered pointless by the fact that it covers 20% of her body.
iirc she's on the block for a larger scale update. I'm sure she'll get a visual lift when they do her kit adjustments.
Agreed, its cool that Riot was able to fit some visual time for Shen along with his kit adjustments. He looks much better now compared to his old models.
I think whether Akali gets a VU with her update depends on whether or not she is in a big assassin update.
If she does get into a big group update with other assassins, I doubt she would get a VU, while if she gets an update by herself she likely would be at least considered for a VU, and likely would get that VU.
