Lock-in change

Is anyone else overly frustrated with the character select removing you from game AND punishing you if you do not actually click the lock in button? I haven't played for a while and i don't know when this change happened, but last I played if you didn't actually hit the lock in button, it would automatically lock in for you. If you want to remove a player for not "locking in" that's cool, but don't punish them. That is absolutely ridiculous the game hasn't even started yet. The client has glitched out choosing a champion on multiple occasion as well. In my opinion the old method of locking in was much better and less frustrating.
