Gender Bend Skins

Hello everyone on League of Legends.

This is my first time writing on the boards so yay!

Now I have googled gender bend images of Champs because and some are just beautiful, there is a She-Garen and He-Kate image and it got me thinking of all the other champs. Who has not wanted to see what Soraka would look like as a man? Or Ahri? Why not have Mal be a floating woman from the void? Just like all other skins I think a lot of people would buy female skins of their favorite male champs where I would like to see some of the female champs turn male.

There are numerous reasons why this will never happen. Some of the more common ones would be;

  1. You'd be changing the base model and proportions.
  2. You'd be changing the animations (running, joke, taunt... Just about everything).
  3. Different voice actors.
  4. Names. What would you call a male Nidalee? It would appear daft if the champion with that skin was still called the original name and it would be confusing if one was to change them.
  5. Vastly different splash art.
  6. Price. The amount of work required doesn't differ greatly from an ultimate skin, only lacking in an evolving model (even DJ Sona lacked that) and particle changes. I'd place it mid way between a legendary and ultimate.
  7. Monster champions? Yordles?

It just isn't worth it. I certainly would not pay 2535 RP (assuming pricing is between ultimate and legendary) just to play as a different gender, nor would many others. It isn't a feasible idea for Riot either, considering the labour required and very minimal profit, if not, no profit at all.

imagine the lore- the genderbended characters could come from an alternate universe and came to this universe because of a wrinkle in the fabric of time and space, which also gives rito the ability to make a new god-like character that controls space and time.

They would have to be legendary skins, and while I love some of the gender bent art (Ahri Katarina Morgana as men, and Brand Taric Zed as women) I wouldnt drop 20 dollars on one uless it was more than just a gender change.

To be honest... I don't really think it's worth the effort for riot. Sure, it's interesting, but I don't think it would be popular enough for them to get behind and actually do.

This would never happen, ever, at least not for skin, maybe there could be a champion that changes gender you never know. but still skin wise this would never happen, for all the work it would do, it would also spawn a lot of controversy amongst the community.
