My 8 year old son is absolutely obsessed with LOL and even has an account himself (he only plays bot games and is never allowed on the chat). He has come up with this idea of a skin for Garen (his favorite champion) and has asked me to share this with RIOT. Hope you all get as much fun from reading it as I did :)

Did you have trouble deciding what to make his sword? We did when we tried to think of what to make Astro-nautilus' anchor.
The description of Garen's death animation is also really cool; that's a nice touch that really shows you're imagining the whole package. If you feel like taking your idea further you could describe a custom recall and some lines for Universe Garen to say. You could even describe a scene for the splash art to really round things out.
I'll show your idea to everyone on the skins team tomorrow, we can't promise that it will be made into a skin for the game but I'm sure they will really enjoy your work. Keep a hold of the original design too; I'm 32 now and I wish I still had some of my video game drawings from when I was younger.

This is Robert. I really do appreciate what you said about my skin idea. I agree with all the things I have missed. Next time I make a design I will put them in.
No I didn't have trouble deciding what to make his sword. I always knew it would be a satelite piece.
For the recall a rocket comes down and Garen gets in and flies back to base and he can say "I'm outta this world". His splash art is Garen spacewalking on the moon.

YES the skins team really like your idea! One of the artists only plays Garen and he thinks it suits him perfectly. We usually plan skins a long time in advance (sometimes up to a year ahead of release) but the next time we are coming up with ideas for a Garen skin I will make sure 'Universe Garen' is one pf the candidates.

A child going into Esport scene is just not a great idea with everything considered.
That's why LCS has an age restriction.

No if the world is designed to be peaceful there shouldn't be any limits on what anything can do. I get that corrupt tones plague English but it doesn't mean people are always using those tones when swearing. The kid can make his own future, he doesn't need a random girl and guy stopping him from talking.

For two, it sort of helps them learn the difference. Online interactions can teach several social skills like dealing with dumbasses.

Ta4ri7 votesTo be honest everyone the swearing isn't the reason I keep him off the chat. There is a filter for the bad words that works just fine. I want to keep him off the chat so he doesn't have someone wish bad things to him and his family. That is what I am protecting him from. He still communicates with his team when playing Co-Op vs AI as we have taught him the ping system. He knows how to tell his team he is on his way and that enemies are missing etc.... It is drummed into him how bad toxic behavior is and I don't want him exposed to the malicious side of the player base until he is ready.

s33s4 votesI'd buy it simply for the reason behind the creation of the skin. He clearly put a lot of thought into it and even tried to make it as neat as possible for us. The concept itself clearly already has us sold. And yes, whether the skin looks amazing in the end or not, just price it at his desired 1150 RP. That's generous even for him. Jaximus was and still is admired from you. This is another great opportunity to show how much you actually do care about the community of LoL. Also, this skin doesn't have to mean that any kid-requested skins in the future have to be granted. It's not bad to spice things up once in awhile!
