Champion Idea - Terreth: keeper of the sword
Terreth - keeper of the sword
Proposed to be a heavy cc hitter with some crazy AP damage output and MR tank late game, but really you can determine what he'd be better at. Maybe a top laner?
Lore
Many legends begin with a king's father's father's father, the first king of the land, and their sword. This, however, is not how Terreth's opens. Terreth was a child of a poor family. They worked hard to make a living, and barely made ends meet every week. To make a bit more money for his family, Terreth became a blacksmith's apprentice. Terreth's master was quite mediocre at his job, and didn't teach much. Terreth would heat the furnace and watch in amazement as the blacksmith hammered his metal into armor and weapons. As Terreth continued his apprenticeship, he wanted more and more to forge his own weapon. Just a sword, nothing too fancy. When the blacksmith left to sell his goods in the city, Terreth would gather small bits of ore and store them in a pouch under his cot. One afternoon, the blacksmith left to sell his goods to the city folk, and Terreth had enough ore to forge his own sword. He went to work immediately. Terreth heated the furnace and dumped the ore into the furnace, and commenced to forge his sword. As he smashed the metal with his hammer, sparks flying, the sword started glowing. At first it was so faint it was unnoticeable. The glow grew. Terreth stared at it I'm amazement, wondering what was happening on the inside. As he thrust it into the furnace to hear it more, the sword's blade exploded into flames. Terreth pulled the sword out, and to his astonishment, the blade was emitting fire. A breeze swept through the room, and extinguished the fire, replacing it with a white mist surrounding the blade. He dunked the blade in water to cool it, and once fully submerged, the sword dripped water, almost as if creating it's own. As he did this, it was late at night, the sun was down, and the blacksmith had arrived home. The blacksmith walked into his armory, and beheld Terreth dunking his blade in water. Anger seized hold of the blacksmith when he saw Terreth had made a sword. Terreth turned around, and shouted out in surprise. The blacksmith started moving toward Terreth, and Terreth lifted his sword, willing it to burst into flames. A pillar of flame erupted on the sword, covering the blade. Terreth convinced the blacksmith to let him leave, and ran to a local wise man. The wise man was skilled in the arts of magic and was a seer as well. He told Terreth he was the keeper of the sword, and must protect it with his life. He trained Terreth in the arts of magic, and set him loose. Terreth lived in nature, constantly finding new hiding places to keep the sword away from people, while sharpening his magic skills. Soon, the league found him, and drafted him into the league.
Appearance
Terreth has a sword in one hand, and a tome in the other. He has shaggy brown hair, medium height, and wears ragged commoner clothes. (Looks definitely can be changed, I can hardly picture him.) He has a flippin sick yo sword that changes looks for all 3 of his sword types (changed by his Q ability on activation.)
Abilities
Knowledge Increase - Passive Passive Terreth gains slight AP and MR bonuses as the game progresses, making him extremely effective late game
Blade Shift - Q Active Cycles through 3 different blades, all with different effects. Fire - bursts sword into flame, does extra magic damage on basic attacks Wind - sword is shrouded in a white mist, leaving a trail of white behind the blade that disappears with time. Knocks champions in the air with a gust of wind. Can only knock up a champion once every (insert number here) seconds or (insert number here) basic attacks. Water - water coats the blade, dripping from the tip. Slight slow on hit. Can only affect the same champion once every (insert number here) seconds or every (insert number here) basic attacks.
Wind Boots - W Passive Increased walk speed Active Extreme burst of speed, can travel in only the direction he is facing. Kind of Like Lucian's dash. gets rid of passive during cooldown
Icefire - E Active - single target A ball of burning ice is summoned and launched from Terreth's hand, dealing magic damage and shattering on impact, scattering across the ground and dealing AoE damage until the ice melts.
Shadow Strike - R Active Terreth's shadow moves directly forward, and as it does, Terreth cannot move or cast spells (can still auto attack). When activated again, the shadow stops, and Terreth jumps to where his shadow is and slashes in a wide arc with his sword, dealing damage to all things in front of him. (Kind of like Greninja's over B in super smash 4 if you know what that's like)
