Champion Concept: The Entity, Hearth of the Void
LORE:
The Entity is sometimes called the hearth of the Void. It's the most powerful being in the universe seeking its way out of the place of nothingness to consume all life. It was inevitable that this thing will finally escape to the realm of mortals and that day is the beginning of the end. It's a creature so powerful that even the Aurelion Sol, The Star Forger and the creator of the Universe was afraid of the day The Entity enters his world.
After noticing the influx of corrupted energy Aurelion realized what came to Runeterra. He immediately reached the Aspects to ask for help in defeating The Entity. At first the Aspects thought The Star Forger is tricking them to lift the cursed crown but the word of increased activity of the Void Rifts quickly spread throughout the Runeterra. Who knows if the powerful beings of Targon can match the strength of the Void itself...
Gameplay:
The Entity is a juggernaut looking to overpower its enemies with big damage output and turn-around fights while slowly taking control over the map by spreading corruption.
Abilities:
Passive: Instead of normal attacks, The Entity uses a sequence to deal damage in an area around it. The first three attacks are a cleave attack, first two using one limb and the third one striking with two limbs at once dealing double damage to enemies struck with both limbs in the middle. The last attack in the sequence is a sweep attack using its tail.
Q: The Entity opens a Void Rift which spreads corruption on the ground. Every X seconds a void creature will come out of the rift starting with voidlings at level 1 and adding a chance for a different creature with each level of the ability.
Enemy players can attack the void rift to shrink it to increase the time between spawns of creatures. Void rifts stay on the map permanently but temporarily close when The Entity is not nearby.
The Entity can consume a void creature by right clicking it to regain some of its missing HP.
W: Void creatures get bonus attack and movement speed while on the corrupted ground.
E: The Entity uses corrupted ground to gain a shield. Basic attacks against the shield in melee range apply a movement speed slow and Damage Over Time to the attacker.
R: The Void Nova The Entity surrounds itself with void crystals becoming invulnerable and immobilized for a short duration and collecting life energy from nearby enemies, marking them with Void's corruption. It then releases a big nova of Void Energy dealing damage and freezing all enemies marked by the Void's corruption. Frozen enemies also become invulnerable and immobilized for the same duration.
Design thoughts
This kit is extremely oppressive which would probably be annoying to play against similarly to Illaoi. The Entity shines in holding its ground and expanding it slowly over the duration of the game. Great way to counter this champion would be to send a range champion with good wave clear to kill his void army and defend the towers. Preferably after clearing a side wave you'd join your team and make plays around the map before the corruption spreads too much for you to find good areas to fight The Entity.
