An Idea For A New Champion

I'm probably not the only who plays League and thinks up their own champion ideas, but this is one I thought up recently that I think has a unique idea that would make a good addition to the game. Keep in mind that what I'll call this champion idea is just what I've called him to make things easier for myself.

To start off, the idea started from the thought of this random swordsman who I call "Droga" being possessed by a fire demon. To fit in with the lore, I would think Droga would be an Ionian that came into contact with either a possessed sword that fused him with this demonic entity of fire. Droga would not be able to completely control this demon inside him, so him and the demon would constantly struggle for control over his body, which brings the unique gameplay mechanic I have in mind into play.

His passive would be that instead of a mana bar, Droga would have "Control" instead. This would work kind of like a mana bar, but not completely the same. This bar would not drain from use of abilities, but instead by "Flame Charging" abilities. Flame charging would work in the sense that you would charge up the ability for added affects, but it would take away some of Droga's control, bringing him closer to the second part of his passive. The second part of his passive occurs if Droga were to lose all control. His character model would be surrounded in fire from the flames of the demon inside him and his basic attacks would now deal magic damage that scales with ability power until he regenerated all of his control back. The drawback to this is that the flames would bring his defenses a lot lower (the fire heat would burn it away) while this was happening, making him very easy to kill. Droga would not be restricted from using his Flame Charging in this form, it would just keep him in it longer. I also think that control would regenerate at a similar speed to what Yasuo would regenerate Flow when he walks into lane, but maybe slower.

Droga's first ability would be a simple slash dealing physical damage in a cone in front of him. Though, if you "Flame Charged" the ability, Droga's sword would set on fire, dealing extra magic damage, burning enemies struck, and making Droga lose some control. As you may get from the wording - and you can assume the same if I word the other abilities in the same way - the physical portion of the ability would scale with physical damage and the magic damage after charging would scale with ability power.

Droga's second ability would be a single circular swing around him, physically damaging all enemies in the area. If you were to Flame charge the ability, it would deal bonus magic damage and it would lower enemy defenses (once again, the defenses burn away) along with losing control. This ability I imagine to have a slightly longer cooldown than the first ability, but still not too long of one.

Droga's third ability would be a target enemy spell that throws a physically damaging dagger. Flame Charge it and it deals bonus magic damage while losing control. Also, it could be added that the ability could be re-activated to teleport to the target struck within a few seconds if you wanted to make the champion a little more assassin-like. Though, if this were the case, I think it would be balanced out to give the ability a longer cooldown and make the re-activation cost even more control.

For Droga's ultimate, it would be a transformation of sorts. I personally like to call it "Lose Control" or "Give In". As my name for it implies, the ability would instantly make Droga lose all control, but instead of making him go into his passive form when he loses control, the full power of the demon is released. The character model would not only be on fire, but the flames would shape the demon inside of Droga. As with the passive form, Droga remains this way until he regains all control again and he gains bonus magic damage on basic attacks, but he has no reduction in his defenses, and all of his abilities will automatically be Flame charged. His abilities would also cost no control in this form.

As you may be able to tell, I imagine this character would be a hybrid damage fighter, assassin, or mage depending on how you would build him. While I will admit myself that there are probably parts of this champion idea I described that might be hard to create or may seem over-powered, I still think something that worked like this would be a cool idea.

I would love to hear what other people think of this champion idea and hope to see if anyone else has some cool concepts for future characters. For everyone who is like me and thinks up their own champion, let's hope to see our ideas one day become a reality in this game.

Honsetly sounds like a melee champion that could work around the Rumble heat mechanic, as it encourages strategically using abilities to balance, which does fit the theme quite nicely. Gameplaywise they are already very similiar, apart from the "charge" thing.
