[Champion Concept] Kenth, the Shadow Weaver

I love support and I always want more support champions, so I wanted to make a support concept for fun. Let me know what you think. This is a pretty rough draft of the character, mostly focused on the mechanics. I also wanted to do a combination of roles that might seem counter intuitive and a Support/Assassin seemed like a good fit for the style of character I was going for.

Also, the names of the abilities are SUPER original and creative, I know. In case you couldn't tell he uses shadows. =P

Kenth, the Shadow Weaver

>Kenth was born in a small village that he has long since forgotten. He always knew the darkness intimately, feeling more at home in its embrace than the light. Born with completely black eyes and able to see in the darkness as well as during the day, his family thought he was cursed by the gods. They did their best to raise Kenth as well as they could despite the protests from the other villagers to abandon the strange child. His mother taught him to be kindly and empathetic while his father taught him to be resolute and independent. The boy always aware of the scrutiny of the other families as they would call their own children away from the cursed boy so as he got older Kenth learned to control the darkness, literally playing tag with the shadows of himself and other people since the other children were not allowed near him for fear of the darkness consuming their souls.

>One day, Kenth left his home to buy food from the bakery only to return and find common thugs had broken into his home and murdered the only two people who had ever shown him kindness. In that moment, the isolation and darkness within him was released. Kenth took the shadows of the thugs and tortured them, ripping them apart and leaving their living but now empty bodies blubbering and shadows of their former selves. The villagers, seeing this new display of power grew fearful of the young man and turned on him, driving him from his home before he would destroy them all. Now Kenth simply wanders from place to place, never staying anywhere for very long. Determined to do something good with the curse he was granted the young man doles out his own justice to thugs and thieves, rarely ever seen but his presence always known by the empty, shadowless victims he leaves in his wake.

Primary Role: Support Secondary Role: Assassin

> Passive: Shadow Weaving Kenth's abilities grant himself and allied Champions stacks of Shadow Weave, granting 3 (Level 1) / 4 (Level 6) / 5 (Level 11) / 6 (Level 16) bonus Armor and Magic Resist per stack for 5 seconds, up to 5 stacks for a total of 15 (Level 1) / 20 (Level 6) / 25 (Level 11) / 30 (Level 16) bonus Armor and Magic Resist. Stacks of Shadow Weaving on Kenth fall off one at a time, but stacks on allied champions fall of all at once. Additionally, if Kenth uses a basic ability while he has 5 stacks of Shadow Weave, the stacks are consumed and the ability gains a bonus effect.

I wanted his passive to provide Kenth with an ability to buff himself and allies. Thematically, it would look like he was literally weaving darkness around someone to protect them or himself. The passive also forces Kenth to be active in lane because if you sit back on your haunches then you won't be building up or maintaining stacks in order to get the empowered abilities that really make him shine. Since the passive stacks are visible, opponents can see when he's getting close to full stacks and can adjust play accordingly until he either uses the stacks or lets them fall off. Kenth becomes more vulnerable when he uses an empowered version of an ability which provides an opening to kill him should he misplay while using one.

>Q Ability: Creeping Shadows Kenth flings a sphere of shadow energy towards target enemy, dealing 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 (+0.1 AP) magic damage every 0.5 seconds for 3 seconds for a total of 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 / 210 (+0.6 AP) magic damage. Basic attacks Kenth and allied Champions make against a target affected by Creeping Shadows gain a stack of Shadow Weave.

>If Kenth uses Creeping Shadows while he has 5 stacks of Shadow Weave, the stacks are consumed and basic attacks Kenth and allied Champions make against the target affected by Creeping Shadows deal 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 (+0.1 AP) additional magic damage.

This ability is Kenth's primary lane harass, a decent way of building up stacks of Shadow Weave and also rewards Kenth and his team for coordinating together by granting defensive stats. If he uses it while he has five stacks, it becomes a pretty decent way for his team to explode a target if properly focused. Since this is his only basic ability that deals damage, this would probably be on a fairly short cooldown.

>W Ability: Shadow's Revelation [Passive] Kenth gains 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 Ability Power.

>Kenth creates a zone of darkness at a target location for 5 seconds, providing vision and slowing enemies within it by 10% / 15% / 20% / 25% / 30%. Kenth and allied champions who remain inside the field gain a stack of Shadow Weave each second (up to 5 stacks for someone who remains inside it for the entire duration).

>If Kenth uses Shadow's Revelation while he has 5 stacks of Shadow Weave, the stacks are consumed and Shadow's Revelation fears all enemies who enter or exit the zone for 1.5 seconds. An enemy can be feared once by entering the zone and once again by exiting but no more than twice.

This is Kenth's peeling ability and also a good way to check bushes or something without exposing yourself too much. If it's empowered it works similarly to the Veigar stun, only fearing an enemy who moves through the outside edge of the field. I imagine this ability would have a fairly long cooldown considering how easily it builds stacks of Shadow Weave and the utility it provides.

>E Ability: Shadow Barrier Kenth creates a barrier of solid shadow around himself or an allied champion, granting a stack of Shadow Weave and a shield that absorbs 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 / 200 (+0.5 AP) damage for 5 seconds.

>If Kenth uses Shadow Barrier while he has 5 stacks of Shadow Weave, the stacks are consumed and Shadow Barrier removes all stuns, roots, taunts, fears, silences and slows on the target.

This ability is a simple way for Kenth to prevent damage on himself or his lane partner as well as get them out of a sticky situation should he have the stacks to empower it. Also, just to clarifiy, if he uses it on himself when he has five stacks of Shadow Weave, he will cleanse himself and then still end with one stack of Shadow Weave after the cast. Cooldown would probably be fairly average to short.

>R (Ultimate) Ability: Shadow Fury Kenth pulls in darkness to conceal himself, gaining +20% movement speed and stealth for 5 seconds. When he breaks out of stealth, Kenth gains 5 stacks of Shadow Weave, deals 150 / 250 / 350 (+0.5 AP) magic damage to all targets around him and slows all enemy champions dealt damage by Shadow Fury by 20% for 3 seconds. Kenth can reactivate Shadow Fury during its duration to break out of the stealth early.

This is where Kenth becomes able to actually assassinate someone, but it also works well as an engagement tool for the team since it provides an AoE slow for his team to catch up. Prior to level 6 Kenth really doesn't have many tools in order to engage and must stay back and use his Q in order to harass someone down. He also needs to choose what he wants to accomplish after engaging because he only has one empowered ability. Do you use your Q to ensure someone dies? Maybe you use your E to save yourself or an ally from the enemy team's CC? Perhaps you use your W in order to ensure the enemy team goes nowhere while your team cleans up?

I put this idea together in about an hour, so it's still pretty rough so if y'all have any more ideas let me know what you think, give some feedback, etc!

He is good tho, seems balanced and original. But there is one thing that is missing; Notice how all newer champs have some unique mechanic ?? That's what ya need !! Maybe his Q should be like Ryze's Q, except it comes out of nearby terrain !! Its logical, since terrain casts a shadow !! Would be harder to hit, but maybe it would grant more stacks to him and allies ?? Also, i would love to see how he looks !!
