Bat-O-Lantern Ward

Several years ago the concept of 'ward skins' was introduced in a very controversial way. At first they were not going to be permanent, instead lasting only a certain amount of time before needing to be purchased again. I was part of the community that spoke out against this design. As part of my protest to impermanent skins, I neglected to purchase the otherwise gorgeous Bat-O-Lantern skin which I would greatly have liked to have permanently. But now I'm seeing permanent versions of it and I'm wondering to myself "Why does it seem like I never got a chance to buy them permanently?" Come to find out, the following year they were released for permanent purchase, which I would have done instantly had I not still been under the impression that ward skins were a temporary thing. I realize that was a mistake on my part, but nevertheless I can't help but feel a bit deceived all the same. Honestly, I'd pay $100 for that ward skin as it is to date the only one I think looks good, and I absolutely adore halloween themes.

Is there anything under the sun that I can do to have this skin? I know I'm asking for a special exemption and I genuinely don't wish to disrespect the system by doing so, but this really does mean a lot to me and I would have bought it had I only known...

(Edit: That $100 thing is actually a genuine offer. This means a lot to me.)
