.: WARNING:. WALLS OF TEXT. If you don't want to spend hours reading, simply go over the following sections: (Champion Info) (Damage Calculations) (Another Summary)

Otherwise, you can prepare for a 4000 word post on this concept. You must be able to see how little of a life I have if I can throw this together... Here it goes....

Contents: Intro (Lore, inspiration, whatever. Stuff you won't want to read) Champion Info (OMGWTFTHESEABILITIESAREBROKENANDOP) Ability Analysis and Clarification (Why this Champion is Balanced) Pros (Why your enemies hate this Champion) Cons (Why your team hates this Champion) Gameplay (Combos) Matchups (General) Damage Calculations (Why this champion is not broken) Another Summary (Tl; DR)

*Intro Assassins are a huge part of league. Although as of now (5/28/15) The Meta is very tank dominant, and assassins have begun falling out of favor due to their inability to effectively kill a target due to all of the AoE CC in team fights. However, that doesn't need to be the case. All that has happened since assassins were dominant was the popularization of tanks. So what does an assassin need in order to be effective among all these tanks? Well, it's quite simple. They need to be able to single out a target and kill them. Of course, this can easily be achieved. If I was to give an assassin the ability: "Deal 100x the target's max hp in true damage" they would be a good assassin, able to kill their target easily, but something like this isn't fun, and more importantly, not BALANCED, which brings me to my next point. In order to make a "good" assassin, the assassin must be fun to play, while also being able to kill the target without them feeling like there is no way to counter play said assassin. First of all, I'd like to address the point of "fun". In order to make a champion "fun" the player controlling the champion must be able to feel like they ARE the champion, and in the case of assassins, that's a Fast, and Deadly ball of death that can make an enemy's health bar disappear in an instant. That is what it means to be an assassin. At the same time, said assassin must be balanced, which means the champion on the receiving end of the damage needs to feel like they have a chance. So where is the middle ground? There's nothing more disappointing than playing an assassin who executes a full combo and takes 50% of an enemy's hp, or playing against an assassin who misses EVERYTHING and then kills you with a few AAs that do 500 damage each. In order to remedy this. I have created Eurya, who I think fits all the requirements of an assassin while also being balanced. As an assassin, Eurya is a super mobile blob of high damaging attacks that can completely destroy an enemy in a matter of seconds. However, Eurya has one key difference that makes her stand out. She has no Auto attack; instead, she has a quick skill shot Q that serves to replace her auto attack. What does this mean? It means that although her burst is insanely high, like an assassin's burst should be, it is heavily based off of her Q and your ability to land it. As you will see, Eurya is a high-risk, high-reward champion who is not only versatile, but also very skill based, who will grant you a feeling of ecstasy unlike any other when you're able to execute a flawless combo, and dance around your helpless victim while completely melting them before jumping out of the fight without a scratch on you. On the flip side, there is nothing more humiliating than missing a Q and messing up your combo, and popping like a balloon. You don't have any auto attacks to fill in for your inability to land skill shots here. You miss, you die.

Champion Appearance. A spectral warrior who's dressed in light armor that offers protection while not restraining movement in any way. Her primary weapon is a Dark colored rapier that she wields with her right hand. She carries a spear on her back. (No Picture is provided, since I'm too dumb to create art using the computer. I can try to create some art if needed, so for now, you're just going to need to use your "imagination"

(Note: This Champion's Lore isn't developed at all, since so much time was dumped into the other things) Lore: Eurya is a spirit sent to claim the souls of those who have cheated death in order to return them to their rightful place.

Inspiration: Like anyone who watches battles in fantasy movies filled with magic, I've frequently watched with awe and excitement as a legendary warrior leaps across the battlefield and strikes down countless enemies all the while avoiding every single attack. Like many others, I've also told myself: "I wish I could do that!" but of course, it's impossible. As a League player, I’ve always loved assassins who are able to make the flashy plays and obliterate an opponent. However, I never found THAT assassin, the one who relies purely on the player's skill, and not on ANY source of targeted nuke to destroy a target. As such, I have taken a chunk of my free time to create Eurya, The Claw of the Grave, to fill in that gap.

Note: This Champion was designed to not fit the standard gender stereotype, who says girls can't be badass, coldblooded, deadly assassins?

*Champion Info: Name: Eurya Title: Claw of the Grave? HP: 467 (+80) [1827 @ 18] HP5: 3.1 (+0.5) [11.6 @ 18] AD: 53 (+4) [121 @ 18] AS: 0.61 (+ 3%) [0.9211 @ 18] AR: 20 (+3) [71 @ 18] MR: 25 MS: 355 Abilities Cost: Nothing

Passive: Price for Power: Eurya does not have an Auto Attack. Passive: Touch of Death: All of Eurya's damaging abilities apply the "Cursed" debuff to afflicted enemies. Abilities will consume "Cursed to do 5+ (10 x Champion lvl) Bonus Physical Damage. “Cursed" can be applied to more than one target at the same time. "Cursed" lasts 4 seconds, and is reset upon missing a Q. Passive: Focus: consecutive attacks against the same target reduce the target's armor and MR by 3, stacking up to 5 times and deal: 70, 90, 110, 130, 150% damage. Focus can only be applied to one target at a time, and is reset upon hitting another target, or missing a Q

Q: Linear: Eurya Swings her sword in an arc in the direction of the cursor dealing 110% AD + [20, 25, 30, 45, 60, + (10 x Champion level)] physical damage. This damage is reduced by 20% for each additional target struck down to a minimum of 40% damage to all targets. This ability has no cast time (Can be cast while moving) and destroys all projectiles it hits in a 40 degree area, and heals Eurya for (1, 2, 3, 4, 5%) of the damage blocked). The cool down if this ability's cool down is equal to (1 /Champion Attack Speed) down to a minimum of 0.7 seconds. (Applies on-hit effects to her primary target, more detail on this in analysis) (Linear CAN NOT Crit)

Additional info: Animation time: 0.075 seconds Cast Delay: 0.075 Ability Hit box: approx. 10 degrees Projectile Block: approx. 40 degrees Range: 160

W: Soul Shroud: (CD: 25/22/19/16) Eurya brandishes her sword and roots herself for 0.15 seconds to create a shroud for 0.15 seconds to block the next enemy ability. If she successfully blocks an ability, she gains 20% increased move speed for 2 seconds, and her next Q within 5 seconds will deal 10/15/25/40/60 + (25% AD) bonus physical damage. If the target is cursed, she will also slow them by 70% for 3 seconds. Cool down is reduced by 0.25 seconds for every projectile blocked by her Q.

Passive: Eurya does not appear on the enemy minimap unless she is within 750 units of an enemy champion. (Vision wards will still spot her.)

E: Dance of Darkness: (CD: 20/18/16/14/12) Eurya Enhances her next Q to gain bonus Range, as well as teleporting her behind her target on hit. Upon Teleporting, Eurya instantly refreshes her Q cooldown. Her next Q will be a linear skillshot that will do an additional (5/10/15/20/25 + (35% AD) Physical Damage) and consume 20% of her current HP, the health cost is refunded if she lands her second Q. If the Target is cursed, Unholy Cleanse is activated and will remove all positive buffs currently on the target for 4 5 seconds, and removes all crowd control and damage reducing debuffs affecting Eurya. Unholy Cleanse will also reduce enemy armor and magic resist by 15% (Unholy Cleanse cannot be activated on the same target for 45 seconds). Unholy Cleanse can only be activated on champions, and its cooldown is reduced by 0.5 seconds when she hits a target with her Q, (doubles against champions)

Additional info: Bonus Range: 250 (425 total) Second enhanced Q Range: 475 Second enhanced Q Cast time: 0.5 seconds Second enhanced Q Width: 30-50 (Very loosely) -A Circular indicator will show Eurya the cooldown on "Unholy Cleanse"

R: Doomed to Die: (CD: 100, 80, 60) Eurya throws a very long ranged spear that lands in a target area after a short delay, dealing (50, 75,100 + 50%AD) Physical damage. The will latch on to the first champion that comes into contact with it. Upon latching onto an enemy champion, it "Dooms" the target to death for 10 seconds. During this time, Eurya gets the option to become untargetable and invulnerable for 0.6 seconds as she teleports to the target, upon arriving, she deals (20/50/70 + 40% AD) physical damage and knocks back all enemies in a large radius around them, and curses the ground around the target. While in the area, Eurya gets (20/35/50) bonus AD and (15/25/35%) increased movement speed. While in the area, Eurya also gets 80% tenacity and damage reduction from all sources excluding her target, and also deals 80% reduced damage to all nemies other than her target. Name may recast this ability to return to her starting point ONLY after she has killed or gotten as assist on her target. This ability will reveal the target hit.

Additional Info: Ult Spear Radius: 400 Travel time: 1 second Cast Range: 1500 Ult Buff Radius: 175 Knockback Radius: 230

*Ability and Stats analysis:

Stats: Boasting very high damage and mobility, Eurya is also one of the squishiest champions in the game, with the lowest base MR in the game, and lower base HP than Sona. These poor defenses, along with her being a melee champion, limit her early game laning phase, making it terribly weak, since her Q CD is still too low to constantly block enemy harass.

Passives: All of her passives go to further emphasize on her assassin play style, and poor early game, while also highlighting the precision required to play this champion. "Focus" makes it extremely rewarding to enter long trades when you can land Q consistently, but if you fail to do that, you will be doing 30% reduced damage. On the other hand, "Cursed" forces one to manage their combo well in order to get the full effect out of their abilities, since curse is "applied" and then "consumed" every 2 Qs, one must manage their curse stacks well or they may fail to activate "Unholy Cleanse" or the slow on "Soul Shroud". Remember, you don't have an auto attack to apply "Cursed" with, so if you mess up your "Cursed" management, you won't be able to go back and re-apply it to get the full effect out of your abilities.

Q: This ability is Eurya's bread and butter ability, serving to replace her targeted autoattack with a skillshot. Although this ability's ability to destroy projectiles may seem extremely OP, this ability's very fast cast time makes blocking enemy projectiles extremely difficult in practice, since the ability's cast is almost instant. This forces one to either have godlike reaction time, or predict the incoming ability. (This ability can be considered OP against champions with very, very slow skillshots. Looking at you Anivia/Morgana). there is also a cap for the cooldown, so you can't just spam it. This Ability will apply on-hit effects to your primary target, which is prioritized in the following order: Ulted Enemy> Enemy Champions > The Enemy who you can kill with the damage > The enemy who you would do more damage to. For example: Ulted enemy champion > Enemy Champion 100 hp Champion > 50 hp champion 100 hp Champion with 0 armor > 50 hp Champion with 100000 armor

W: This Ability's primary purpose is to allow Eurya to dodge those pesky targeted abilities, and gives her some way to not get completely fcked over by knockups. It also allows for easier roaming and ganking.

E: This is the ability that gives Eurya the extremely powerful mobility that she possesses. Being the high risk, high reward assassin that she is, the entire ability hitches on both you and your opponent's ability to either hit or dodge the ability. If Eurya misses her second Q, she simply loses 20% of her current HP, making this a crucial ability to land in her combo. "Unholy Cleanse" portion of her E is extremely powerful, but can only be activated on a target every 45 seconds, and is actually pretty hard to hit, since its width is around 60-75% of Yasuo's Q. When it is down, it gives enemies an opening to go on her without risk of getting "crippled" by the buff removal and cleanse.

R: This ability is what defines Eurya as the assassin that she is. Being able to single out a target and take them out while keeping the rest of their team at bay: Taking inspiration for both Poppy and Zed's ults, this ability is what I feel is a healthy mix of the two. Both keeping the strong "1v1" aspect of the ult, while taking away some of the safety of the abilities. for one, Eurya is not able to get out of the fight with her ult unless her target has died, meaning she can't just go "oh sh*t" and ult right back out of a bad engage, or ult the support and go after the others with her 80% damage reduction and tenacity, because she also deals 80% reduced damage to others. A few things to note are: First of all, the bonuses ONLY apply to Eurya when she is in the immediate proximity of her marked target, meaning she can mark her target, jump in, and then simply leave her target to attack someone else while taking and doing 100% damage. It's also important to note that she CANNOT activate the second portion of her ult if nobody is targeted, making this an extremely punishing ability to miss.

  • PROS: Extremely Mobile Very High Sustained Damage Strong Dueling QQQQQQQ Very Versatile (Mid, Top, Jung) Good Wave clear Strong Late game (High Outplay Potential) (Vs enemies)

  • CONS: Extremely squishy ^ Terrible Early Game VERY high skill cap. Hard to learn, Impossible to master (High Outplay Potential) (Vs yourself)

*Gameplay:

Early Game: Eurya's early game hitches solely on her ability to survive. Her early damage is very low, and her power in short trades in nonexistent due to her passive: "Focus". Her Q is not yet at a low enough CD for her to spam it constantly, so she can't effectively block ranged harass (It's hard enough already). Her Q also naturally pushes the wave, as it blocks caster minion shots and is AoE, opening her up to ganks, since she has no escapes.

In the Early game, Eurya must also find a balance between using Q to sustain of caster AAs (she can do that btw) and keeping her lane in a comfortable position. If she spams Q to sustain on caster AAs, she opens herself up to enemy harass, and will also push the enemy minion wave, opening herself up to ganks. If she

Mid Game: By mid game, Eurya's power begins to ramp up as her high scaling give her surprisingly strong burst and great sustained damage. Since she should have access to "Doomed to Die" by now, she can use the ability's strong CC and 1v1 potential to roam and gank other lanes, while her high ms and the passive on "Soul Shroud" make her even harder to spot since she's invisible on the minimap. (Note that she IS NOT stealthed. if you move your screen you will see her even if she isn't on your minimap.)

**Late Game: ** This is where Eurya's strength is at its highest (I know it’s where every champ caps out, but gimme a break here) While many assassins are weak in 5v5's due to the large amount of CC and AoE damage involved in them, Eurya is able to easily single out and destroy the enemy's backline in seconds if she has the precision to do it. She can choose to use her ult after her team engages, or she can simply use it to initiate a fight with the strong AoE knockback. Eurya's ability to block projectiles combined with her insane mobility also makes her a strong candidate for duels, as she is able to sneak up on overextended enemies, and completely destroy them.

In case you haven't noticed, Eurya excels against champions with low mobility, who are unable to dodge her Qs, and struggles against and mobile champions who can dodge her Q, and anyone with a large amount of CC.

Combos:

Early Trading: (Her early sucks, why are you trading?) W-Q: This combo allows for some quick damage, in which you block an enemy ability, and then run up to them and Q for some Damage. Quick, and does a decent amount of damage, but will leave you vulnerable to any of the enemy's remaining abilities.

Q-W-E-Q-QQQQQQQQ: More of an all-in combo, you Q to apply "Curse" block an ability with W, and then activate E. Hit your enemy with the extended Q (This will also slow them and bring you behind them) and then Q again to apply "Unholy Cleanse" then chase your enemy down while Qing them. This combo can actually do a large amount of damage, but if you're against anyone who can disengage, or simply dodge your Qs, then you're screwed, since if you miss the second portion of your E, you've immediately just taken 20% of your current HP in damage, and the enemy hasn't even hit you yet. You've also just burned all your abilities, so have fun getting destroyed. (This is probably going to be your all-in for most of the game anyway)

**Bush Surprise combo: E-Q-Q-W-QQQQ:**This ability will almost guarantee that you hit "Unholy Cleanse" the Q before W is to both apply a "Cursed" and also to give you something to do before the enemy retaliates with an ability, which you will block with W before going ham on them with Qs.

On a side note, all of these combos will hitch on your ability to land EVERYTHING. Missing ANY PART of your combo can and will be extremely punishing. For example, in your all in combo,(Q-W-E-Q-QQQ) if you miss the second Q, you will waste your W enhanced Q, as well as your gap closer, leaving you open to wreckage. (You also reset your Focus, causing you to start back at 70% damage on your next Q)

*Matchups:

Counters: Morgana: (Duh) Reasoning: 2 ways to block Morg's Q, "Unholy Cleanse" both removes Q and can also cleanse R

Anivia: (...) Reasoning: Almost the same as Morgana. Eurya can block Anivia's E, and Q with Q/W and remove "Chilled" with "Unholy Cleanse" She can also dodge Anivia's E with "Dance of Darkness"

Xerath: (sigh*) Reasoning: I'm not even going to get started, Xerath's Q/W may not be projectiles, but Eurya's insane mobility allows for her to easily dodge them, or just W them if she's too slow to dodge.

(Insert skillshot reliant, immobile mage) Reasoning: Blah blah blah mobility, blah blah blah Q

Is Countered by:

LeBlanc: Reasoning: LeBlanc's insane early damage absolutely crushes the squishy Eurya. Eurya May be able to block some of LeBlanc's abilities, but NEEDS to have either no reaction time, or prophetical prediction skills. You can't possibly react fast enough to Q or W a LeBlanc Q unless you have insane reaction time or are expecting it, even then, all LeBlanc needs to do is hold onto W for a tiny amount of time to bait Eurya's W and then destroy the squishy assassin.

Syndra: (This may surprise you) Reasoning: Eurya is incapable of blocking Syndra's Q Harass, and her W. If Eurya chooses to go in on Syndra with "Dance of Darkness" Syndra can easily knock Eurya away to make her waste E and then wreck her. (This is all given that Eurya even has the HP to go in early. Note that Eurya is able to block a good portion of Syndra's ult with her own abilities.

Lissandra: (No Surprise here) Reasoning: Lissandra dumps on mobility reliant assassins, and Eurya is no exception. You’re not blocking any of Lissandra's instant abilities unless you predict them. All of them. If you E onto her for an all-in, Lissandra can just ult herself and you're going to die with your 20 MR.

Goes Even with:

Vayne: (Only one on this section, purely for example) HEAVILY skill based, if Eurya lands her Q's, Vayne will pop like an egg in a microwave (What a great analogy), but that's given that Eurya can land her Qs. If Vayne is able to dodge them, and kite Eurya, Eurya will die, no question about it.

Note: I know these are all mid matchups, but you can probably get a good idea out of them, since mid has a low of diversity.

*Damage Calculations:

Here's an approximate damage calculation:

Case 1: You're maximizing your Damage. You have no Items, you're against an enemy who will not move, and has 0 armor. You're also aimbotting, so you'll land everything. (Your enemy will also be nice enough to pop your W when you need it to)

Combo Used: R-Q-R-Q-W-Q-E-Q-Q (3 Passive Procs) = Q4 + R1 + R2 + W + E + C3. 121 AD: Equation: [121(1.1)+60+(10x18)]+170+(121x0.9)+1.1[171(1.10)+60+(10x18)]+1.3[171(1.1)+60+(10x18)+60+(0.25)171]+1.5[171(1.10)+60+(10x18)]+1.5[171(1.10)+60+(10x18)+25+0.35(171)]+3(180). =133.1+60+180+170+108.9+1.1[188.1+60+180] +1.3[188.1+60+180+60+42.75] +1.5[188.1+60+180] +1.5[188.1+60+180+25+59.85] +540 =652 + 470.91 + 690.105 + 642.15 + 769.425 + 540 = 3764.59 (This kills ANY champion btw, nothing has a higher hp by 18)

Analysis: Crazy Damage right? The Damage amp from focus REALLY adds up. Now, I know what you're thinking: "OMG WHAT THAT'S SO BROKEN! NO ITEMS AND A 4K DAMAGE BURST WTF). However, keep in mind that this is ONLY if you land everything with 100% accuracy and use the max damage combo, which takes around 5 seconds to pull off. This Champion was designed to be high risk, high reward, let's factor in the "Risk" Factor. Let’s say, that the enemy is smart, and the whole combo is more realistic. Let's also assume that since the enemy is smart, they were able to dodge your third Q. This brings to combo to this:

**Case 288: Enemy has brains, you miss third Q, your combo is more realistic and doable. Everything else remains the same. Combo Used: R-R-Q-W-Q (missed)-E-Q-Q. (2 Passive Procs) Equation: 170+ (121x0.9) + 0.7[171(1.1) +60+ (10x18)] + 0.7[171(1.1) +60+ (10x18)] + 0.9[171(1.10) +60+ (10x18) +25+0.35(171)] + 2(180) =170 + 108.9 + 0.7[188.1+60+180] + 0.7[188.1+60+180] + 0.9[188.1+60+180+25+59.85] + 360 =170 + 108.9 + 299.67 + 299.67 + 461.655 + 360 =1699.895 (Do you know who you can kill at lvl 18 with 1699 damage? mini Gnar, who has the hp (1645), you literally go from being able to kill ANY champion to being able to kill almost nobody, because you missed ONE Q)

See the Difference? One missed Q just cut your damage by 2k. ONE Q missed. The Q you missed not only caused you to lose your bonus damage from W, but also reset your focus, causing you to set your damage back to 70%. 70% and 150% have a HUGE gap between them. See what I mean by high risk high reward? The pure skill needed to maximize Eurya's damage is insanely high. It requires flawless timing and perfect execution. Any slip up, and you can very well fail your combo completely. Missing a Q not only resets focus, but also resets "Cursed"

*Summary (TL; DR)

I have no idea about how much of this post you actually read, but I can assume that most of you didn't read the whole thing. To those of you who did, thank you for taking 3 hours of your day to look into it, I really appreciate it. For those of you who didn't I'll summarize it in the next paragraph.

In Conclusion, Eurya is the definition of high risk high reward, yet versatile assassin. Sporting insane mobility and damage, as well as the lowest MR in the entire game. Her Abilities all revolve around the player's ability to land skill shots and execute a combo with flawless precision. A flawless combo can deal upwards of 3000 damage, while helping you take almost none in return at level 18 without items, yet missing one ability in the combo can cut the total damage by up to 60% and end with you getting CC'd to death and failing everything. In terms of gameplay, Eurya is a fast paced melee assassin whose weak early game opens her up to heavy harass, but whose teamfighting and lategame make her a threat to even the most fed carries.

I really like your ideas, also unconventional female character yes pls :D it's good how you've focused equally on her strengths and weaknesses!
