Teambuilder back for norms pls?:(

I don't play a huge amount of ranked and no, while I'm not a huge fan of duo-queue, I didn't just make this to cry about solo-queue being removed. I'm here today because back in January of this year a matchmaking mode very dear to me; teambuilder, was removed. I just never saw the reason for this to happen. Is there a maximum amount of matchmaking types that Riot can have in their game? I understand it may impact queue times to have more of them.. But with teambuilder, if I felt like playing my Zed mid, I could queue up for that and be guaranteed that champion/role. If I wanted to create my own comp, I could start a queue and accept/decline champs that I think would/wouldn't fit into the desired comp. With this new champ select, I can't do that. I am given a 50/50 shot (depending on champion of course) at getting the champion or role I want. I just never saw the reason for the removal of teambuilder as it was a perfect way to learn new champions or test out new ideas. I'd really like to see it re-implemented.

I like the new champion select much better, mainly because it's draft pick. I really like being able to say "I'm support, but I'll choose the champion based on what I'm up against". There are just some match-ups that are really bad, so it's nice to pick my "safe" champions when I'm first pick, and play the others when I know what the enemy bot lane looks like. That bit was always lacking in Team Builder for me.
