Champion Reworks

I am so damn tired of all these champion reworks. I used to be an Eve main, but I really don't like her anymore. Irelia was fine, but obviously she needed changed. Now Nunu is getting reworked. Instead of reworking champions, make new champions. Stop completely changing champions that are fine as is. Some people may think they aren't viable, or aren't "meta champs," but some people do play those champs. If you are literally going to change every single thing about a champion, just make a new one and quit fucking with the old ones.

They weren't fine as is. Eve's early stealth was impossible to balance and lacked counterplay once she got fed, Irelia had an awesome "blade dancer" thematic which was represented by a couple of flying Nerf darts when ulting, and Nunu is one of the most basic and un-interactive champions, who also completely misses his duo thematic with Willump.

All of the recent reworks were pretty successful. Yes, they had their playerbase, but the reworks have their playerbase, too. And these are usually bigger than the ones playing the old version.

And it's not just about the gameplay. Many champions are really poor visually or thematically. Look (as an example) at my favourite rework: Urgot Urgot

His model was absolutely terrible, probably the worst in the whole game. His story was being a former Noxian soldier, revived with necromancy and technology in Zaun as some kind of Frankensteins monster. That thematic was ok... until you took a look at Sion and thought "yeah, they are basically the same stuff".

Sion was a former Noxian soldier and got resurrected with necromancy in Noxus. The only difference was that Urgot involved technology to revive him, while Sion was purely magic driven.

They had the same niche when it comes to narrative: Noxian soldier trapped in a dead body for eternity to serve Noxus in battle.

The new Urgot is way more interesting in his story and doesn't double up with Sion anymore.
