It actually isnt Riot's fault. If I recall, PAX explicitly said that Riot can not, and will not sell the PAX skins for any monetary value, at any time before or after the event, nor can they give away any of the skin codes before or after the event.

Thus, don't blame Riot, for I'm sure they would LOVE to make some money off of that AWESOME Pax Sivir skin. PAX Twisted Fate is actually regarded as the rarest skin in all of League of Legends. Do you know how much a code for that skin would go for?

And believe me, I know the pain. I SSSSSOOOOOO want that PAX Sivir skin. But, alas, I can't travel back in time.

See this, along with other PAX skins, kind of frustrates me. I get the "exclusivity" of it all, but let's be fair here. There's nothing exclusive about it. There wasn't limited copies. It was just "if you were at this event, we give them out." So for people like me who live in the Southeast, if I don't spend $2,000 to go to a PAX convention either in Boston or Seattle, because San Antonio wasn't happening yet, I could get a skin code. All I'm saying is, I think it was WizardCrab who said after five years, they would unlock Championship Riven in a bundle with the other Championship skins. Maybe you guys need to run a PAX bundle at some point and give people the opportunity. I've heard there's some contract where you can't sell them. That's fair. But that doesn't mean you can't give them away like you always have. Give previous owners their border and let other people who couldn't spend ridiculous amounts of money to make a trip to PAX an opportunity to have them.

Maybe it's just me, but that's how I feel.

I second this, actually. It even effects the majority of the population on the newer servers, like Korea. eSports was big prior those servers but League only became big when it became accessible. If League wasn't huge over there when these skins were given away, Korean players had no real chance of obtaining these limited skins whatsoever.

Stating that players should've turned up at a PAX event is unreasonable, especially if they reside in another country that isn't even on the same continent of the events.

I personally believe Riot should either make them legacy skins or use a random PAX mystery gift to replace the free mystery skin you receive at the end of year if you've not been banned. Those who originally owned the skin get a banner and summoner icon.
