I just happened to see that famous image of the Ao Shin concept when I noticed something very familiar. He face design and serpent-like body bear a striking resemblance to the new Baron Nashor! The only difference (besides some coloring) is that Baron at least knows how to use a razor.

I'd have tought of saying "NO way!". but after looking at it... yeah the head is same-ish. It does feel more of a coincidence of 2 "animalistic" head gear to me. When I look at Ao Shin, I see more the hairs than the skull (or wtv it is). When I see baron I see mouths! Lot of mouths! And skull.

All i see is two serpents. They typically have similar designs but yeah just serpents.

There is only so many options for a head with two non straight horns and a serpentine body that's neither exactly snake nor wurm.

So it's not too much of a coinsidence that they are simmilar, especially if it made in the same studio. The artist could have been subconciously influenced by the other design.

Even more if it was the same artist and he was hired for his portfolio of draghon snakes.

In the sense that he's a serpent, yes. Much in the same way that Garen is totally the same design as Lucian because they both have 2 legs.
