Would Clockwork from Dota 2 work in LOL?
There are no champions that fulfill the same role as clockwork and if I were ever to say I miss anything after moving over after 1700 hours of play in Dota 2, it would be clockwork. The only champion that feels even remotely like him is Zac with his long range initiation, it's probably the reason why I enjoy Zac's unique gameplay so much. If you have never played or seen clockwork, I have included a link to a pro playing him and provided a description of his use and abilities below.
Gameplay of clockwork:
Clockwork's Q periodically sends out shrapnel that stuns for a very short amount of time, used in conjunction with his other abilities to chase down enemies and damage them when inside his W.
Clock's W is a square of cogs that when used pull enemies close to him inside the square and pushes those who walk to it or enemies further from the cogs away. The cogs are essentially impassible but can be killed by enemies attacks or by clockwork himself and will disappear after a period of time. This can be used to lock down opponents, block escapes or dislocate enemy teams.
Clockwork's E is a global firework that lands where the player points dealing aoe damage and giving vision in that area for a short period of time. This ability is used to scout targets for his ult, look for incoming ganks and check if the enemy is completing objectives like Roshan. (The equivalent of Nashor)
His ulti is a long range skillshot that stuns opponents in a small area where it lands and pulls clock to the thing it hit. This ability can hit neutral minions and can be used for escape as well as initiation.
So to all ex-dota players out there, long standing riot employees or people who took a look at the video link and read the description of his abilities, do you think a champion like clockwork would work well in League?
