Low Spec Client

I thought about it for a long time, ever since the deletion of the legacy client, navigating through the new client has been harder and harder over time. On low spec machines like the one i use and tons of others that other people play on, the new client is extremely laggy and buggy, even with low spec mode on. There have been a ton of instances where i have either dodged or couldn't get my runes done in time because my machine cannot handle the new client. The new client has amazing features and it looks amazing, but all those flashing lights and shiny new animations and particles (even on low spec mode still) , are not suitable for low spec machines. Adding a low spec client would allow players with lower performance computers navigate through everything but without all the lag. I never had any of this type of lag or delay on the old client, and its kinda screwing me over. I am sure other people with low spec machines can agree with me. A low spec client should have been introduced shortly after the new client was released, or Riot could have kept the legacy client. Leave your opinions down in the comments!

Hmm... I have personally experience this many times. Especially in ban phase.

Low spec mode doesn't feel low spec at all. But has time goes by what is considered low spec changes.

I know I need a better PC for league though. Practically in general.

However, making a separate client would not be good at all, as it takes more time and resources to develop, maintain and update such client.

I think they need to work on the client more. Fixing bugs might decrease lag. As well maybe look into ways they can improve client for lower spec machines.

But the question is what should be considered as low spec machines?

Answering that question will help guide the techs to a possible solution.

Low Spec mode only effects the game while you're playing, low spec mode has no effect on the client itself.
