Ave, Flightless Angel (Support/Mage)

In terms of his build, Ave’s body is pretty average for the 15 year old boy that he is. He has white hair, red eyes and a pair of long ears and horns growing on either side of his face. He has a pretty pale complexion. His hair is parted in the middle and drapes down to his cheeks. Although his hair is quite long, a significant chunk of his hair is kept untouched so that it’s longer than the rest of his hair. This bunch of hair is tied/braided to fall down his back.
His clothing is quite unique in a sense that both of his top and his pants are uneven. He rolls the right sleeve of his sweater but keeps the left unraveled. On top of his sweater, he wears a coat/cape garment which he puts on to hide the wing stubs that were left when they got cut. He also wears a glove only on his left hand. For his trousers, however, he rolls the left side up so that it’s just below his knee but as he does with his top, keeps the other side unraveled. He also carries a shawl-type garment which hangs around either of his arms.
He wears an extremely long belt which is why a decent portion of it is left hanging down his hips. On the side of his pants is a leather sling which he puts his mace on. The right side of his pants is where he puts his flute. He wears pretty standard laced-up leather boots.
His main weapon is a scythe which is nearly as tall as him. The base of the blade is shaped to look like a bird and at the thick end of the blade hangs a talisman/tassel. The head is then connected to a gem stone which then leads to a long handle and ends with a steel point.
Personality
Ave is quite the introvert and nobody can blame him for being one. Since he was banished from his nation because of his clipped wings, he has grown incredibly stiff, awkward and gloomy. A smile on his face is rare to see and his laugh is even more so. He gets easily embarrassed and insecure in huge crowds and he is ashamed that they will find out that he is a flightless angel. This side of his is evident in how he dresses; covering up his back so people won’t see the stubs of his clipped wings poking through his shirt.
As much as he despises being around people, however, Ave finds comfort in observing and playing with animals particularly birds. Despite being shy and insecure, Ave manages to gather up enough will and strength to live on in hopes that maybe he’ll be able to fly once more and as freely as his bird friends do.
Even though he is incredibly angry for losing his wings, the young lad hasn’t closed his heart into seeking revenge as a matter of fact, he feels as if he’ll be able to forgive the ones who had done him wrong is they show true remorse. This, however, doesn’t change the fact that he would do anything to be able to fly again. He gets really emotional and sad as much as he enjoys watching the birds fly. To be able to cope up with this sadness, he plays the flute that was given to him by his mother before he was banished from their home land.
Abilities and Talents
Being an Angel, Ave is natural gifted with the use of magic. That’s not to say, however, that the lad isn’t a prodigy himself. After getting banished from their home town, Ave practiced the art of the music and was able to incorporate it into his magic which made for interesting attacks and spells. He composed different songs which individually brought up different effects as he plays them on his flute. After more studying, he managed to strengthen his magic and music through summoning birds which then increased his abilities.
In terms of weaponry, Ave uses a total of three weapons. His main weapon is his Scythe which he uses to attack normally. His scythe is not only lethal on contact but can also produce small rolling gusts of wind which hurt on impact making his scythe a decent ranged weapon. This scythe of his also doubles as his staff and paired up with his second weapon, the flute, gives him the ability to create a variety of spells and attacks. His third weapon is a normal steel mace which dangles on the side of his pants. He uses this when his scythe is unable to be used due to spell weaving.
Skills
https://i.imgur.com/LHj3Zgc.png ** Squall (Passive)* Every time Ave attacks, a squall of wind starts circling around him. Ave’s passive is very similar to Sona's passive. The main difference is that this one relies on his auto-attacks for charging. Every 15 auto attacks (on minions, neutral monsters, structures or champions) grants his next ability additional effects.
https://i.imgur.com/Ps0463i.png ** Thistle Tune (Q)* Ave hums a tune which weaves a spell that sprouts thistle plants in an area after a second of casting. If the spell hits a unit, they are slowed.
- *(Squall) Instead of getting slowed, the units hit are snared. *
https://i.imgur.com/YJxLHuf.png ** Nightingale Serenade (W)* Ave plays a song which empowers an allied target’s next three auto attack. Each attack that hits an enemy champion drains their mana and gives half of it to the empowered unit. The buff wears off when the empowered champion uses three of the auto attacks or after 7 seconds. In addition, attacks onto minions while this buff is active won’t proc.
- *(Squall) Each attack burns the targeted unit. *
https://i.imgur.com/wgr7Mkz.png ** Fluttering Grace (E)* Ave plants his scythe in an area after five seconds of casting. The scythe then produces healing waves around it which will heal all allied champions inside its range except for the caster. Ave is allowed to leave his scythe in place for three minutes after which the scythe will automatically come back to him. During the time when his scythe is planted, Ave switches to his mace and turns into a melee champion. Also, his mana is slowly drained until the period of the skill is over, Ave runs out of mana, if he dies or if the player cancels the skill. If an enemy champion is able to sit inside the range circle for five straight seconds, it will also cancel the skill and the scythe will automatically go back to Ave. In addition, the skill will not go on cool down until any of the above circumstances happen.
- (Squall) The first 30 seconds of the spell only drain half the amount of Ave’s mana.
https://i.imgur.com/c6FBu1V.png ** Swan Song (R)* Ave plants his scythe after 3 seconds of weaving a spell with his flute and it stays there for ten seconds. The area near the scythe damages enemies but also slowly drains Ave’s mana. If an enemy champion stays within the circle for five straight seconds or until the spell reaches its end or if Ave runs out of mana, the spell will break and all enemy champions standing inside of the circle are stunned. Swan Song will stay in its place even if Ave dies or leaves the area. Also, unlike Fluttering Grace, Ave cannot cancel this skill.
- (Squall) The spell will cast immediately and ignore the initial three seconds of spell weaving.
Lore**** (WIP)
Hello there guys! This is my first champion concept and I'm pretty thrilled to be able to share my ideas here. Just a few notes;
I will be writing the lore as soon as I find time to do so. In reading this post you should already get the gist of what happened to Ave however, there's nothing about how he ended up playing in the League and other details which will spice up the story. I also attached a concept art of what he looks like and the portraits of his skills. As you can probably already see from my drawings, I'm not good enough to make a colored splash art but if this gets a good review then I'll try my best to make one or to at least add more character concept arts.
Anyway, I hope you guys like it and I would appreciate some reviews, suggestions (additions or alterations)!
