Hello! And thank you for taking the time to read what I have to say, After fiddling and working on small unfinished projects for about a year and a half I have started my first "serious" project, a Hearthstone-like online card game based on the universe of League of Legends using the Unreal Engine 4 I am already on a pretty good point, already having coded the multiplayer-side part, the mechanics, and the base for the gameplay.

Now comes the creative part, designing! ... wich I suck at. That's why I'm here today, I'm looking for people with lots of creativity, cool ideas, and just passion for creating things.

Now to clarify some stuff

  1. This game is 1000000% profit-free, no price, no microtransactions, no unlockable content, no crowdfunding, no ads, etc.
  2. This is a FAN-MADE game, meaning we won't take any credit for the artwork, the champion design, and anything owned by Riot games

Now that all the legal bs is out of the way, if you want to help me make this small indie team a real thing and want to be a part of it there are some things you should know

(1) This isn't gonna be a job, don't worry! We're not gonna have contracts, work schedules, or other buisness stuff, I'm looking for hobbysts, now that doesen't mean that you cannot contribute 24/7 if you want to, but I wan't to keep it as less stressfull as possible, so no pressure, just fun, makin games together, yea

(2) You don't need to be a professional programmer or designer! While it is preferred that you have some experience in the field, it's not necessary, if you think that your ideas alone can be a big addition to this project, then i'd be more than happy to have you on the team!

(3)Specific talents needed: Here's a quick list of what we would need to be complete and fully working as a team, but don't worry, it isn't mandatory to have one of these skills! 1- Programmers: you good with Unreal Engine blueprints or C++? Perfect! you're exactly what this team needs! 2- Card designers: What's a card game without cool and interesting cards? Of this role we need plenty, and I'm sure some of you have amazing ideas, so don't be afraid, and join us if you have the passion and time! 3- Artists and art designers: So you're good with the pencils huh? That's more than perfect, digital artists are another key part of what we need, for card arts, and other drawings needes, don't worry, you don't have to be Picasso, so don't be shy showcasing your amazing work!

Ok, you have made it past that giant block of text that I wrote holy shit thats a lot of words, you still there? Good, wanna join us? Good! If you're interested in being a part of this adventure just comment on this thread or message me on discord, or email.

Send me a message with:

Your nickname: Your age: What role you would like to take: A brief summary of who you are and why you want to be a part of this project:

That's all for now, I hope we can make this possible, thank you so much again for reading and have a good day! [sg-miss-fortune]

This is exciting. I might take a look at this, considering I plan to go into game design. I'm not too familiar with Unreal or C++, unfortunately (I do Java XD), and I can't do art, so I'd just be stuck in the designing team (which I'm definitely not complaining about, but I'm not too familiar with TCGs).

If you wanted to get a bit more traction, you could talk to people about this in the C&C Discord. We have lots of artists there, and a decent chunk of people who are pretty good at game design and balance. We probably have some TCG fans, as well.

As someone who plays digital CCGs and has theorycrafted cards based on League champions in the shower, stumbling across this opportunity is bizarre and exciting. I am definitely interested to say the least; designing cards for a game like this is something that I could do with passion. I would absolutely love to get involved!

Talking briefly about the potential design, I envision a League-themed card game to be divided into lanes like in the Elder Scrolls: Legends (a Hearthstone-style digital ccg, and the one I'm most familiar with). Lanes are basically divisions of the play board, so instead of having one zone where all minions are played, there are separate zones, and as a basic rule minions are limited to attacking enemy minions that are in the same lane as them. Dividing the board into lanes and then attaching the ability to "roam" to champions and spells would be very thematically appropriate for a League-themed card game. I understand this might strain the technological demands of the game, but it would be sick as hell.

I am very excited about this. I'd love to discuss other possible design aspects and start putting together the fundamental groundwork of the game could look like, but I'm pressed for time and am stuck with just writing this post at the moment. I'll get back to this soon!

I've played a lot of TCGs over the years, and a fair bit of hearthstone as well. This looks very interesting!

I could possibly design the front/back of the cards, as well as some basic concepts for the overall environment for the game, like the backgrounds and such.

I used to collect Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, and Chaotic cards and knew how to play all three games at one point. The only game I've ever really played on the computer that is anything like Hearthstone is Faeria, so I don't have a lot of experience with games such as that.
