Dismemberment Champion Concept
This champion idea came from the idea of a character who could throw themselves across the map like Ziggs ultimate. His entire game play revolves around the concept of throwing his limbs at his opponents to deal damage. I could only think of three different themes that would fit with his game play; a stitched together voodoo zombie, a haunted mannequin and a prototype robot designed like Orianna/Blitzcrank. Here are the abilities that I think would fit with all of these potential characters.
Passive: Smaller target Incoming damage is reduced by 12.5% for each limb that is not attached to the characters body
Q: Limb Toss Active: Throw a limb in a thin, fast moving skill shot that damages enemies it hits and stops at the first enemy champion it hits, slowing them by 25%. This ability has three charges. With it's first cast, he throws an arm and receives no negative side effects. The second cast, he throws a leg and receives a 30% move speed reduction. The third cast has him throw his other leg and receives another 30% move speed reduction.
Passive: Each limb has it's own cool down timer starting when it was removed from the torso. The limb crawls back to the champion over the cool down duration, speeding up towards the end. Walking over a dismembered body part has it reattached and the remaining cool down be cut in half. If the limb is destroyed than the remaining cool down gets doubled.
W: Armed to Explode (I'm sorry for the pun) When cast, each limb that is not attached to the torso explodes in a small area of effect.
E: Leg it (I'm not sorry) Dash towards a limb that is closest to your cursor, gain a movespeed buff and attach the limb, reseting its cool down.
R: Splat The champion rips off his head and throws it over a large distance before the rest of his body gets yanked after it. When the body hits the location, all the limbs fly off in a wide arc beyond his impact point, damaging and slowing all enemies hit by 50% (or stuns them). If armed to explode is cast, the area of effect damage is increased and has a larger explosion. The limbs return after 1 second after the impact or 2 seconds if Armed to Explode is cast. The character's movement speed gets reduced by 90% before the limbs come back but can still auto attack normally (bite/spit/shoot face lasers?)
I haven't decided whether this champion should be melee/ranged or ability power/attack damage focused. I'm leaning towards a ranged, ability power focus because zhonyas or protobelt would work very well with the ultimates 90% slow but his ultimate and E are good initiations for a melee tank. As for the distribution of damage among his abilities: his Q would do light damage and is more focused towards setting up his other abilities. His W is where most of his damage lies and multiple limbs exploding can damage the same target separately. Finally his ultimate does light to medium damage but the increased aoe of W would allow it to deal massive damage to a grouped up enemy team.
The counter to this character is a very mobile champion who can avoid the skill shot based game play or someone who can out range him. Yasou's wind wall would be able to stop his limbs in there tracks but this champion could dash to his limb, walk to the other side of the wall and then throw it again. The main combo this character has to finish off an opponent is to throw his three limbs at his opponent, massively slowing them before detonating all three. This tactic is useless if your opponent has some kind of movement ability or flash available and leaves you rather vulnerable due to the lack of movement speed. The juking potential for this character is similar to Lissandra's claw; throw a limb walk, in the other direction and dash to it if they follow you, don't if they follow the arm. Finally the Ultimate does have some counter play to it. The head always lands first and flies from the direction of the cast, letting the enemies know where the limbs will hit and avoid them if they can.
All in all, I like the concept of a champion who throws parts of himself at opponents more than the abilities that I came up with. If Riot makes a character with that as it's theme and throws out all of the abilities I came up with, I'd be fine with that.
