( Champion Concept ) Rouran Egu`n - The Unbowed

Overview :

Rouran Egu`n is a mana using melee tank/ fighter or "bruiser". He would most likely be most at home in the top lane as well as the jungle. Rouran has emerged from beneath the brutal veil of the Kumungu Jungle to claim victory for his people "Ogres" and bend the will of Valoran to favor his own cruel plans in standard Ogre fashion. In the Kumungu any Ogre knows only the strong survive and only the cruel thrive. He wishes to expand his tribe's territories using his might in the league. Rouran is strong and tough shrugging off magic and physicality alike. ** Rouran** uses some of the shamanic "magic" of his tribe as well as his signature bone war sickle. Whether Rouran is casting a curse on an enemy or diving a weakened squishy for his team he is a savage force to behold.

Faction: Kumungu Jungle.

Lore :

**Rouran** grew up amongst his fellow tribe of Orgres the Kavu. Unlike most of his tribe he was different. he had slate grey skin instead of the standard brownish mottling of his tribemates. In every other way he was the epitome of what an Ogre was expected to be. He was large and rugged he even had an extra head a blessing of the highest degree according to most Ogre families. However his rock coloured skin always gave him trouble. Getting left out at hunts being forced to do the work of the females even having to skin and cook the beasts at the weekly feasts. His disgrace was immense. He was referred to as "Rock-Head/s" by the other males who never wasted a chance to literally rub his face in the mud about it. Eventually he tired of the grey sheep treatment and left.

Rumors spread as they will although not for long as more important things took the majority of the Kavu's attention like hunting, feasting, and the quarterly tournament held several times every year on the changing of the moon. The rules were very simple 2 fighters one pit and the use of whatever melee weaponry and magic the young Ogres could wield. Determination of a victor was equally simple you won by throwing your opponent out of the pit, knocking them out, making them cry auntie or of course ending them. Ranged weaponry was forbidden as it is dishonorable to kill an opponent when you can't even see the dread in their eyes as the light leaves them. At least by Kavu standards this is true. That treatment is used on animals/prey not enemies. The reward for winning this event was immense. You would be allowed to choose your mate, you would gain an "Honor" name and of course the choosing of the best part/s of the feast. Most Ogres either tried to win through brute. Opting either to beat their opponents into unconsciousness or throwing them crudely from the pit.

Rouran suprisingly had learned some new skills during his exile form the Kavu. The use of a new and "Innovative" weapon the sickle. This would allow him to manipulate his opponents better than the crude greatswords, maces, and warclubs native to his tribe. He also had learned the use of curses from a wandering necromancer in a cursed-troll swamp relatively nearby in exchange for the service of his brute force. Rouran entered the tournament wearing a bloodied troll mask and wearing a mud based compound to make him look more "acceptable." This was courtesy of the necromancer who was advised by Rouran that this become part of the deal rather convincingly. He would put an end to his torment, he would bring honor to his family who overlooked his grey skin and still didn't sacrifice him to the Gods, and most importantly he would become an adult respected and more importantly feared.

He faced off against one of the younger ogres, "Zelo" specefically in the first round. Rouran's victory would prove quick and merciless as Zelo's sword faltered again and again against the cruelly curved bone sickle and bone gauntlets Rouran so flawlessly wielded. Eventually Zelo suffered so many slashes and stabs that he collapsed begging to call auntie. Rouran obliged but not before grinding Zelo's head into the mud as had happened to his own noggin so many times before. The 2nd match was tougher. He was paired against Makra a fellow 2- headed Ogre although Makra had the favored Brownish skin color. Rouran dispatched him with equal ease enduring the club smashes of his rival and former-tormentor only to cast vile curses on him followed up by dragging Makra with his sickle into the spikes onto the edges of the pit. A beaten and bloodied Makra begged auntie or at least the Kavu think he said auntie no one is really sure to this day. Makra collapsed immediately vomiting his discoloured blood everywhere.

The final bout was on Rouran ** was up against the chieftain's eldest son. Gog. Gog was the largest and most cruel of the Kavu. Eventually the gladiators found themselves at a stalemate. Both fighters had disarmed each other and both were tiring badly. Rouran's curses seemed to bounce of off the immense brute that is Gog. Rouran realized the chieftain must have had the shaman enchant his son before the bout which is considered cheating. Instead of asking for help which seemed a foreign concept to ogres in general especially Rouran** he pounced upon his foe remembering the first hunt he had succeeded on without any training and entered a rage Biting his opponent's face and neck. By the time he came to Rouran realized he had literally devoured his fears and finally earned a spot among the Kavu.

He selected the strongest woman in the tribe, ate the tentacles of the swamptopus "his favorite meal", he received the tribal tattoos of his choice from the shaman, and finally was given the title of Egun or for us non-ogres cursed one. Then and only then did he remove his mask and mud. Revealing to the awestruck ogres a lesson you and I might interpret differently. Do not judge how a fur looks only how dry it keeps you. Under the eventual hunting/military leadership of **Rouran Egun ** the Ogres were kept very dry indeed. On a more humorous note the word Rock-Head/s became the first word in Ogre to be outlawed due to the very convincing persuasion of Rouran Egu`n the Unbowed.

Abilities :

Passive: Traumatic Memories.

Rouran casts a stack of Traumatic Memories onto any enemy champion that he successfully kills. This stack of memories of their own demise haunts their mind and as such applies a debuff of 6% reduced damage to Rouran. Rouran may apply up to 6 of these stacks on any and possibly all enemy champions. When an enemy champion kills Rouran they conquer and remove 1/2 of the stacks currently haunting them rounded down. If they only have 1 stack of Traumatic Memories then that last stack is removed.

Q: Soul Carver.

Rouran pulls an enemy champion to him dealing 35/45/55/65/75 physical damage. he then bites them 2 times in the face doing 6% of his HP as damage per bite. For every 2 Stacks of Traumatic Memories Rouran has on the hooked opposing champion he gains 1 extra face bite which adds and additional 42 magic damage on hit in addition to the standard % HP damage. * Imagine slightly smaller range than new Sion's Q and a slightly larger cone than Darius's E. However unlike the Darius E it may only pull one enemy champion.*

W: Kavu Empowerment.

Rouran channels the shamanic power of his tribe illuminating all of his tattoos and scars in a yellowish/green glow. This empowerment lasts 12/14/16/18/20 seconds and grants him 12/14/16/18/20% movespeed, attack speed, and magic resist He also deals an additonal 12/14/16/18/20% of his total AD in the form of magic damage per base attack for the duration of the spell.

E: Mark of Cowardice.

Rouran casts a curse which marks a target enemy champion with the agonizing mark of the coward.* Imagine Nunu's snowball reticule/range.* When this mark is cast it immediately activates. Rouran's next base attack against the marked enemy champion deals an additional 12/13/14/15/16% of his total AD. The mark will deal 3/4/5/6/7/9% of Rouran's max HP to the champion hit every 12 seconds that they at least an amumu's ultimate away from Rouran. The mark gains 1% max Rouran hp damage for each stack of Traumatic Memories on the opposing champion. The mark is removed when Rouran is killed by or assisted in being killed by the afflicted champion.

R: Devour Weakness.

Rouran deals 12/15/18% of his max hp to all enemy champions that have stacks of Traumatic Memories on them. dealing an additonal 1% hp damage for every stack exceeding 2 stacks. Rouran gains temporary HP equal to the total damage his ultimate deals as well as physical size. All enemies successfully hit by this spell receive a Mark of Cowardice. Enemy champions that already have a mark take 100/116/133 True damage as their Mark of Cowardice is detonated. They do not receive a new mark. Rouran does not gain Hp or size form the true damage. * Imagine Vladimir's E for this spell. Instead of shooting blood however, It rips it from the enemy champions albeit at a larger more Amumu ult range*.

**Skins: Outcast Rouran Egun, Void Rouran Egun, and Infernal Rouran Egu`n **

Closing: I am currently working on posting dozens of my other champion concepts. up next will probably be Muscimol the Spore Warrior a mage/support humanoid fungus from the Kumungu Jungle.

I would eagerly like any + feedback and/or help regarding base stats as well as cooldowns for Rouran Egu`n. I will revisit this and add quotes, taunts, jokes and dances. I was partially inspired by Ruric Thar of MTG as well as my own imagination. I do not own MTG or claim to. I share this art of Ruric Thar which I also do not own. This art is to my knowledge property of Wizards of the Coast. Cheers and happy crafting many many more champions to come.

P.S. as far as stats I envision him to be somewhere inbetween new Sion and Darius as far as defensive stats and size and a little bit more like Trundle as far as offensive stats. I hope this helps this community to help me.

Sounds like a good character concept. The lore is cool and the abilities look like fun though I don't know much about stats and such. Sounds like he would make definitive friends or enemies with Sion and Trundle .

Just gonna say, if you're using Ruric Thar the Unbowed as art you might wanna give him a different title xD
