What happened to the Ultimate skin and the theories/conspiracies surrounding it?

I can't be the only one who was thoroughly enjoying trying to decipher the clues we got from Riot about the Ultimate skin. Since we got the clues, I have taken a few long breaks from the game, so I am just making sure I didn't miss anything. Wasn't it supposed to be released in 2014?

Nothing more has been said. It's as if Riot refuses to acknowledge it at this point.
