A Pitch idea for a new Game Mode for the rotation

So what if League were to do a 6v6 Soccer-esque game type for league? Have 3 offense 2 defense and 1 goalie, no lanes just one decent size map with only the outside boundaries. all skills would stay the same except summoners would switch to 1.) "Push" (which would be like a Lucian dash but if making contact with an enemy would slow them and if they had the ball they would drop it) 2.) "Kick" which would kick the ball in the direction of choice if an ally or enemy collides with the ball trajectory they would pick it up

  • in order to pickup the ball the champion must touch it facing the ball itself
  • ball can be stolen by touching the ball while the enemy is facing in your direction (movement block preventing from stealing from behind)
  • either mitigate damage or make a spawning system very quickly so nobody misses out on the soccer fun
  • items would seem rather pointless other than CD or Movement speed ???
  • Half time would make teams switched to opposite sides of the map (see nexus siege for example)
  • CC would cause the enemy/ally who currently holds the ball to drop it

For example Yasuo Would make an excellent all around pick, his windwall could block a shot making a great goalie / Dashing though the enemy would allow him to steal the ball away and his Q would allow him to cc the enemy forcing them to drop the ball (ult would allow him to catch up to them quickly)

i love soccer and i love league and i think a mashup would be perfect!!! I would also love to hear what others think of it and maybe pitch in some ideas for it as well?

(I got the idea from Star Strikers on Starcraft 2)

It's a unique concept, nice work! Polish it out a bit more and it would make a decent rotation idea. As a draft, it's unique and appealing - very well done!

Just a rough idea, but what if:

  • Killing an enemy who does not have the ball results in the equivalent of a yellow/red card.
  • If the person holding the ball takes a set amount of damage, they have to drop the ball. *Eg: Yasuo takes 500 damage and is forced to drop the ball. *
  • Draft pick would help!
  • Whoever has the ball is constantly revealed, but if you don't have it you can turn invisible?
  • No wards (maybe)?
  • Have halftime or quarter time breaks to buy new items and heal up.
  • This isn't a suggestion, but it sounds like Ivern would make a great goalie with his bushes too haha

Not a bad idea ... might need a bit more flushing out, but I kind of like the concept.

It would probably be better if the whole map was visible at all times (kinda like Xerath in Ascension or the outer ring in Definitely not Dominion)
