Riot confirmed at Worlds last year when they gave away championship codes that CS riven would be available in 2016

Last year, as a FACT during worlds in November, with every ticket you would receive a could which would give you Championship Riven,Shyvana, and Thresh and it will come back.

It's a limited time skin, so it's not ever going to be available again. It predated legacy skins.

Because since it was never coded as a legacy skin, it wouldn't be right to suddenly flip it over to being a legacy skin when they already stated they wouldn't.

I'd rather have a company that sticks to their word than one that's just trying to ring every last dollar out of me.

I guarantee you that Riot makes plenty of money off of advertisements, sponsorships of esports, and furthermore the store they have in their game that generates a metric shit ton of revenue.

Actually, Championship Riven will become available again.

Riot has changed their policy, but it remains like this: if the skin was ever available in the shop, then it may come back.

Riot Squad Singed, the PAX skins and Silver Kayle/Human Ryze were never sold in store and won't come back. Even Rusty Blitcrank may one day be returned, as it's in the policy as a possible legacy skin in the future. Though I am not sure about Black Alistar, but technically it's also a legit candidate.

Also it helps to know that Riot let us know that they may bring her back during the 2016 World Championship in a bundle with the four other CS skins at the time.

The skin was GIVEN AWAY during the world championship of season two according to their page on legacy and limited skins and as such it wasn't in the store, so no it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY it will EVER come back

I remember codes were given out to those at the event and to those who watched the live stream. I don't remember it ever being in the store, but it could have been the icon that wasn't available for purchase.

The page officially on the website literally states that it was given out and thus would not be available again. I took directly stated information from Riot and brought it back here.

Call Riot's PR people idiots rather than me as that's where the information came from.

That does sound about right, but doesn't it have to be at the correct time? Like the Halloween skins come back for a while around HALLOWEEN? But hey, as long as cool skins become available for purchase again at some points, I'm happy.

Exactly. When CS Riven would be available for purchase, it would be on some year durings Worlds (most likely 2016 at the first opportunity).

Challenger Ahri is also a new legacy skin, and will only be available for purchase during the start of the new seasons, and other champions will recieve Challenger skins to join her for the celebration of a new season.

It goes like that pretty much, they are all brough back for X commotion, and were put into limited or legacy for Y commotion. (excluding normal skins, that were only put into Legacy due to their age).

I won't look it up as they said it last year some time.

Also, it was given out during out during Season 4 world finals as well.

Actually they've said it may come back by 2016 as it takes 4 years for them to re-release limited edition skins (see the former limited holiday skins).

It was in the store during the Season 2 Worlds. AND it was given out to attendants. As it was in the store, it will return. Not to mention how I was playing, over level 30 and playing ranked at this time before the season ended. You're just basing your knowledge of Riot's words, so you shouldn't be arguing so hard for it.

For those of you "quoting" the page about it only being given away back in 2012 and not sold, it was definitely available in the store for about 3 days. I know this because that's when I bought it, and it was 975RP.

Also, yes Riot did say it could be a possibility of it coming back around 2016.

I wish they would keep the skins limited edition so it shows how long players have been playing and to show off. It doesn't mean anything if someone an just grab up a skin that was supposed to be out for a limited time only. It makes it somewhat valuable and would encourage more people to pick up a skin that would only be out for a limited amount of time then never again

It will be available again during the S5 worlds championship together with the release of the new championship skin, this has been stated during the S4 World championship as far as I remember. They always re-release the old championship skins during Worlds but they wait X years before they put the newer ones in.
