I thought they weren't going to re-release it until the next Worlds event.

Riot confirmed at Worlds last year when they gave away championship codes that CS riven would be available in 2016

It's probably the only cool looking "rare" skin in the game.

Riot said they'll release skins that were in the store again evenutally. Maybe during worlds or something.

For those of you "quoting" the page about it only being given away back in 2012 and not sold, it was definitely available in the store for about 3 days. I know this because that's when I bought it, and it was 975RP.

Also, yes Riot did say it could be a possibility of it coming back around 2016.

I wish they would keep the skins limited edition so it shows how long players have been playing and to show off. It doesn't mean anything if someone an just grab up a skin that was supposed to be out for a limited time only. It makes it somewhat valuable and would encourage more people to pick up a skin that would only be out for a limited amount of time then never again

It's a limited time skin, so it's not ever going to be available again. It predated legacy skins.

It will be available again during the S5 worlds championship together with the release of the new championship skin, this has been stated during the S4 World championship as far as I remember. They always re-release the old championship skins during Worlds but they wait X years before they put the newer ones in.

Wasn't Championship Riven on sale during the 2015 worlds in South Korea?
