Grimwald was once a young yordle scientist who left bandle city with their lead scientist heimendinger in search of piltover an upcoming town of technological prowess, while on his journey with heimendinger, Grimwald’s curiosity grew and Grimwald ventured far from the safety of the camp and into the accursed voodoo lands. Guided by the potential for scientific and magical infusion Grimwald took samples of dark magic infused sludge pools, when taking a sample from the last puddle Grimwald noticed a bubbling in the sludge, while scooping the dark sludge into a testing tube an old rugged hand grasped the wrist of the young yordle and with one last scream the yordle was fully submerged underneath the toxic pool.

Upon hearing the scream and acknowledging that Grimwald was missing fearing the worst the brave yordles mustered up a small search party and headed out for the scream, upon reaching the supposed site of the incident to find 2 hands and half a submerged face the rest coated in sludge. The yordles hoisted him out of the puddle and cleaned most of the sludge from the young scientist, upon arriving back to the camp with the young scientist, heimendinger noticed Grimwalds hairs began to change to a grey shade upon analysing a blood sample Heimendinger concluded the magic from the sludge seemed to infuse with the yordles blood accelerating the ageing process.

Upon learning of his diagnosis Grimwald began break down crying, a feat not often seen by yordles due to their kind nature but after accepting his fate Grimwald emerged as a cold snatching and clasping yordle refusing to let anything go which he claimed as his own, upon reaching piltover and working with heimendinger for the first week Grimwald noticed no one really seemed to care about his condition to look into finding a cure, such wasn't true over the week heimendinger had made various attempts to expose Grimwald to elements and concoctions which may seek to cure him.

One day when grimwald was upon losing the last hairs on his head he was buying bread from the local store with money heimendinger gave him, he reached into the leather pouch and pulled out one gold coin, upon handing the gold over Grimwald felt a surge of energy flow through him like his youth had been restored but the second he gave over the coin it turned a vile grey and the shopkeeper yelled what are you trying to pull, as he snatched the loaf off the yordle, the yordles excitement from the energy turned into a sinister quiet rage as the feeling of youth left him leaving the normal old hollow shell he had became used to.

Upon returning to the lab empty handed with no bread or gold all the yordles asked for their bread and when he said he couldn't buy any with no money the yordles questioned him and without any knowledge regarding what happened at the store. After another scientist was sent to the shop to get what Grimwald couldn't upon returning his success was applauded and Grimwald became secluded from the group until the point where any accomplishment he achieved was just swept away like dust.

Upon the night of one of Heimdinger's greatest scientific achievements the team held a party to commemorate the event, during the party Grimwald stole all the gold to feed his thirst for youth, upon taking the last piece of gold from the lab he snuck out the door and into the night. Shortly after leaving  the party he used all the gold he stole so as a last thought he began to head to the banks of piltover upon sneaking past the guards and receptionists Grimwald found himself face to face with more gold than he'd ever seen.

Upon living in the vaults of Piltover for many weeks he began to hear stories of a girl who raided the banks and plundered all the gold, shortly after it didn't take Grimwald long to find out that one day the girl would come for the loot in his vault, so he practiced the art of flipping coins and using the loot of the vaults as weapons to defend himself not only from the upcoming threat but also the guards of the bank who wished to be rid of the old hairless yordle. They called names day after day such as rat and feral but the word which he despised the most was Goblin. A few weeks after settling down in the vault and learning to defend himself there was a large explosion and a girl with blue hair came flying through the wall yelling Jinx Is HEEEEERE! At an instant Grimwald recognised the girl from the reports and the two engaged in battle Jinx equipped with a minigun whose rounds were all smacked out of the air by a flurry of coins, Jinx was impressed and asked what the creature was doing in there, Grimwald replied, it's the gold I can't live without it, say if I give you some of the gold here may I join you with your quest for loot and fortune.

To Grimwald's surprise Jinx allowed him to join her in her quest of carnage and the two became unstoppable even amongst the two best officers of piltover Caitlyn and VI.

Grimwald has a passive increased amount of gold which is lost on death (The gold could be thought of as fake gold, but the fake gold is lost on death however if he manages to back with it he can spend his current gold on items in the store.)

Q: Coin Flurry

Grimwald tosses a flurry of coins in a cone, this ability costs gold to use and fake gold can not be used to activate it.

W: Shared fortune: Grimwald enchants an ally for a few basic attacks increasing the amount of gold they receive from last hits and champion hits (like frost queen's claim)

E: Gold rush:

Grimwald summons gold at his feet to propel him in a target direction a specific distance.

R: Transaction: Grimwald is able to give his ally a portion of his gold for purchasing items.
