Champion Concept: Racleres- The Gate Keeper
Racleres: primary Support, secondary Mage Ranged
RACLERES is an anagram for HERACLES, the gatekeeper of Olympus.
Racleres lore wise I'm pretty stumped but the abilities I think are solid... at least imo.
All Gate abilities are cast by pressing once where you want the center of the gate and moving your cursor in the direction you want the gate to face and reactivate the skill.
Only 2 gate abilities can be active at a time. if a third one is cast, the first gate disappears.
When 2 gates are present they become linked and both gates gain the others ability.
Gates do not block turret shots
Gates grant vision
Racleres imeditely starts the game with his Q leveled and cannot level any other abilities.
Q: Gateway- this ability raises a gate that is about half the width of a
wind wall
first a cloud or shadow appear where the gate will rise as a warning ,then a spiked gate would rise up dealing AP damage and creating a barrier for 1 second blocking all skill shots and ranged attacks that pass through it, including ally's attacks. The gate is closed
the initial cool down will be roughly 11 seconds.
as this ability is leveled up the gate width gets longer and duration as well maxing out at nearly 3 times original size and a 2.5 second duration.
(this name is too long but you'll see why its named that) W: Gate of reversal- this ability creates a second gate similar to the first in both damage and size. when activated at the same time as another gate ability, the gate doors open up and a link is formed between the 2. if a skill shot is fired through a gate it will disappear and reappear at the end of the other gate. if the skill shot belonged to the enemy it becomes your own and will damage the enemy and not cause harm to your allies. skill shots that pass through the front of the gate come out the front of the other gate. skill shots that pass through the back of the gate come out the back of the other gate. if an ally launches a skill shot through the gate, it will remain your team's skill shot. if the skill shot kills an enemy the Kill belongs to you, however the ally receives an assist. if it kills a creep the CS goes to you, but some gold goes to the ally who fires the skill shot. Auto attacks that pass through the gate are canceled
E: Lock Down/ Open up- This ability needs a gate to be up. causes the gate to open (if closed) and close (if opened). opening the gate does damage only in front of the gate as the doors would swing open knocking enemies to the side. closing the doors would cause the gates to shut and doing AOE damage surrounding the gate. if there is only one gate it would only do lock down and do the AOE damage,
R: Gate of the Lost- this ability creates another gate similar to the first one, however this gate allows champions to pass through similar to how the W works. enemy champions who pass through this gate take damage and are slowed
Passive: Gate Toll- Whatever passes through the gate needs to pay the toll All abilities that pass through the gates have a damage reduction of 5% and for 3 seconds Racleres will receive a damage buff that will scale with his level. the buff corresponds to what type of damage the ability does AP and/or AD Enemy champions that pass through the gate will have a %5 stat reduction for 2 seconds and give Racleres a damage and armor buff that will scale with his level. Allies that pass through his gates will be able to share in the wealth and receive the same buff as Racleres (at the time when they passed through the gate) plus some more scaling off his AP
Ability combinations and Laning and other notes
Being forced to start Q limits his level 1 potential
If faced against a mele type champion the second ability they level would be E to zone with the AOE that can be activated at any time the gates up, similar to
's E
If against a ranged champion then getting W would potentially send their own skill shots back at them.
the damage reduction of abilities also apply to allied skill shots.
Combining E and R can creates some interesting plays as both skill shots and champions can pass through the gates on both sides.
Baiting an enemy into a strategically placed R can lead them into a situation they would prefer not to be in. like under tower....or in your fountain. follow up with an E to prevent their escape.
Synergy with Ezreal's ult. have the gates face each other, catch the enemy between. ezreal ults into one which would infinitely loop them...or at least til the gates expire.
enemies can flash past the wall and not be effected, however leaps, hops, and dashes will still transport you to the other gate.
strategic Rs can save you or your allies.
The first skin i could think of is a skin similar to neon striker
and have the gates be Portal portals like orange and blue.

's ult and other similar abilities wont be effected by gates.
this champion has some 1v1 potential, but his true potential comes out in team fight.
the R can help the entire team get past a wall, or put the enemy team somewhere they wouldn't want to be.
The E- Open up can be used as a way to split up the enemy team if placed in the middle of them all. however this ability also prevents anyone standing on or near a gate to e pushed back so no enemy can be instantly teleported once they open.
spell shield will cause champions to ignore the gates and continue normally.

and its popped while the E- Open up is activated, and the champion is standing on the gate, they are instantly teleported.
