Yorktown teen from fatal stump grinder accident identified

So, me and my group of friends had a very important friend that was an extremely dedicated League of Legends player, and all he wanted was to achieve the Gold rank. He played Riven relentlessly, attempting to master her, and other various champions like Yasuo. He was extremely determined, and he recently died in a terrible work related accident where he was sucked into a tree stump grinder. His favorite skin was Redeemed Riven, and every time he made a flashy play he would say "That's me baby." Is there any way Riot that we could get this dialogue in the game in his memory? Please Riot it would mean alot.

I just read that his favorite was redeemed Riven so please give that skin the "That's me baby" dialogue. Kind of like the guy who's favorite champion was Jax who died of a terminal disease. Riot please do this in his honor.

My little brother was accidentally shot and killed last year, and they won't even give me his account so I can log onto it once a year so the name doesn't get taken.

Yeah, he was 17, and I basically raised him as my son, and we were best friends.

But "account sharing" is against the "rules" even though it's pretty damn vague on what that is - and I created the damn account for him so he could play with me.

Oh well. What can you do.

Yeah riot has some unnecessarily strict rules on account sharing. Whatever you guys decide to do with his account just keep it between y'all. Dont announce it on here where rioters are prowling.

I agree that your little brother getting SHOT is horrible and isn't something that should be taken lightly, but that sounds extremely selfish to block off a name because it was his. My condolences either way.

Usually it's a slip/fall, piece of loose clothing getting caught, or unsafe practice like trying to clear a jam without powering down the machine first.

Yep, just a bad accident. It happens with equipment like that. Even if you manage to hit the cutoff switch immediately they are usually done. You gotta feel for his family, it's a terrible loss. Doubly so for his uncle who was there. It's an accident and you know it isn't his fault, but you also know he is going to be feeling that guilt, like any loving family member would.

Sorry to hear for your loss OP and it sounds like a touching idea. Up vote to get a riot poster to see this have a heart. Plenty of games have done something like this in the past through make a wish and other such charities but it would be the first time I've heard of a company taking the initiative themselves.

That's really brave of you guys to be honest. I Can't imagine the heartache you guys are feeling. I have faith that you guys will reach this young mans goal and when you guys eventually do I know it will be somber but special. Condolences as always and good luck to you guys as you deal with this tragic death. I am sorry.
