Hey guys its the kid gamer with meany names(Call me Keg, Captain Keg, Leinad, OR MY REAL NAME IF YOU CAN FIGURE OUT), I'm here to just talk about the lack of Martial arts champions in this game, I currently have noted that we have very few... If I remember correctly we only have the following : LeeSin , Udyr , and MonkeyKing . Here these champions are all strong picks in solo-que but currently MonkeyKing and Udyr don't require TOO much skill (In my eyes) in order to just get the basics of them down but to play them at a high level more skill is needed; furthermore, LeeSin out of these two has a difficulty jump of a 4-6 (On a scale of 1-10) mastering this champion or even getting basics down can get you VERY FAR. But that is not the point that I am trying to put across we are talking about Martial Arts as a whole in League of Legends I know Riot is working on WAY GREATER concepts than mine but I'm only a 14 year old shooting out Ideas at Rito. Back on topic there are a few fighting styles specifically that I can see doing very well in this game but may require some strange balancing due to how the art is conveyed my main examples would be Wing-Chun and Karate I feel like the best way I can show my view point on how I see Martial arts in this game would be through an anime I KNOW COPYRIGHT etc... but remember its just ideas not taking the PURE essence of the character but just observe. If you watched the whole video shown above you notice how the boy in green(Ignoring how he is intoxicated) Is fast and strong with a passionate feel to it now there are other way to portray martial artists but I feel like this is the Offensive route of it: further more, I feel as if characters like these the offensive martial arts arch type should at least have a parry BUT as a result of the parry become squishy but im not good at theory crafting so this is the best I can do this is only the first wave of my idea here you guys tell me what you think of where I am going with this and how to improve my posts I appreciate you guys even reading this in the first place.

MARTIAL ARTISTS IN LEAGUE OF LEGENDS

  • Akali
  • Lee Sin
  • Master Yi
  • Kennen
  • Udyr
  • Shen
  • Wukong
  • Yasuo
  • Zed

Those are just the ones who have definitively studied some specific psuedo-asiatic style of martial combat. Remember: martial arts are NOT inherently unarmed. In fact, one can make a solid argument that ANY school of weapon training counts as a form of martial arts, meaning we might need to include anyone there who has had a specific form of combat taught to them -- I'd be inclined to include the following in such a list:

  • Jax
  • Fiora
  • Xin Zhao
  • Talon
  • Katarina

I do feel the rest of the weapon-wielders are more about brute efficiency (or largely self-taught) than a particular style of combat, so opted not to include them here.

It seems that you're more interested in a SPECIFIC type of martial arts rather than an increase in martial artists in general. Specifically a fast-attacking, mobile skirmisher. Maybe a cross between Riven and Fizz in terms of frequent ability use and general mobility. Would definitely be an interesting thought experiment to attempt to balance.
