A Noxian Support champion?

After reading the new Noxian lore and remembering Taliyah's background story I find it odd that we dont have as of yet a Noxian support. Basically as it says on the page "As Noxus expands and defeats neighboring cultures and cities, it offers the conquered people a choice; swear loyalty to Noxus and be judged solely on your worth, or be destroyed. This is not subterfuge or any kind of ruse; the Noxians are as good as their word, and many who have embraced their conquerors' way of life find their prospects greatly improved. But those who refuse to bend the knee are crushed without mercy".

This compared to their previous lore would suggest that Noxus would see the strength in healing, shielding, buffing etc their troops as it would greatly benefit their goals of conquest. This support champion could of joined them willingly or unwillingly like Taliyah. I think it would be great to have another "evil" support as really only Thresh stands out and perhaps Lulu. They don't even necessarily have to be "evil" as they could have been forced to serve Noxus.

On the other hand Noxus could have a support Blood mage/priest , stealing enemies hp and giving it to an ally etc, or a " Master tactician" which would buff allies and could help lay siege to towers etc (Think of like a back line general). The Master tactician route would free up Swain to "just morph and eat them." as riot has said in the past his title and his core game play do contrast with each other a bit too much.

I believe it would provide another dimension to Noxus as it is mostly just humans with sharp blades at the moment and would also fill a gap in the nastier side of League's support champions. Also would make having a five man Noxian team easier for those epic battles against Demacia.

From a Noxus fanboy.

Sion and Morganna can both support

In a way, and this is arguable, I think the idea of shielding/buffing is against the idea of Noxus's ideals of Strength. If you require the assistance of another person and cannot win by your own strength, than you are weak. You deserve to die. Think of it. Hardly any of the Noxus champions have abilities that help allies. They are all focused on attacking, killing, overpowering.

I don't see Noxus using their mages to help people. Why help someone who can't win on their own strength, when you could be out proving your own ability by slaughtering countless lives by yourself.

Granted, an antithesis of that would be pretty neat. A support from Noxus who lives by the idea of strength, but using that strength to help others. Like a Mother type character who understands not everyone is as able to stand up for themselves.

it should also be noted that thresh is a high tier support champion

if they can make an edgy torture ghost man a support they can make anything a support

Personally, I would love a support from noxus, maybe a friend of draven, having the champion say things to draven throughout the laning phase ect, since they're both noxian.

I do agree. I mean, Pyke abilities would have been really nice as a Noxian support.

Their are plenty of directions you can go with an Noxus support:

#Catcher image from the riot lore page https://i.imgur.com/EOlRoYZ.png This is the more popular direction riot is going these days with supports. With the catcher of concept and the design of the image as concept it could be a female catcher that hunts down targets that escaped noxus grip. The classic hook would have an mechanic where she's able to transfer the tether connection when she chains an enemy with an ally melee champion.

#Juggernaut / Vanguard image from the riot lore page https://i.imgur.com/rSCWSeC.jpg With the Basilisk you have many options:

  • Going with a tamer with basilisk of his pet
  • Going with just basilisk that became to big to controle (or maybe even better the tamer died and his soul was fused with him)

Anyway the basilisk could be a HP stacking champion that disrupts the enemy team. Since he's used as a battle ram he could provide some sieging power to certain comps. His dash for example could damage structures and maybe push allies and enemies what probally create some funny situations as a monster that is out of controle.

Mage / Necromancer

The undead theme feels nice but right now I'm out of ideas for this one to introduce this as an unique support worthy of noxus.

Many Noxians aristocrates seem to have a lot of magic powers, hell even Katarina deals magic damage instead of physical damage, implying that her family could have been mages in the past before becoming magic enhanced assassins and blademasters. It's only low born noxians that deal physical damage, Draven, Talon and Riven are good examples of this.

So I wonder how a support noxian would fit in their ranks. I think that it would hard to do so as they rely more on brute force and using that smart wisely.

Been currently working on a Noxus Fighter/Support champion utilizing preventing escapes and having a "Special" Mechanic involving farming.

Lulu isn't evil per se, just psychotic

Katarina's dad is already in the lore as the general and as DragonShea pointed out, Katarina is already magic so it would make sense if he was magic based in some way. He might do well as a support. I don't know how a Noxian support would work, though. They don't really have the most supportive philosophy. Maybe attack boost to allies and ranged crowd control.
