After Honor going live why riot decided to leave flex rank into profile?

I feel like soloq rank would be much better to show in profile and hovering would show all ranks. I feel like many people don't take flex seriously. I feel odd that riot choice flex rank over soloq :/ ? If someone could help me to understand better why this might be better this way! thx!
