Appearance

Forever bound to ravage the lands of Runeterra, Legion is an ancient beast that represents the personification of mindless bloodlust in many civilizations’ folklore. As told in fabled legends, the beast is said to be a dark vessel of countless souls that lived lives of wrath and bloodshed. If one continues to live their lives committing wanton death, then be prepared to encounter Legion, for they seek to consume your soul to add to their vessel.

Background

Legion is a deadly jungle champion with a kit specialized for eviscerating through the jungle monsters with ease, especially for counter-jungling. However, it should be noted that players can utilize Legion for top lane if players gamble on snowballing. Its passive, the Hunger, allows two effects for Legion: First, to cause bonus damage to jungle creeps/monsters; slaying a jungle monster/Enemy Champion grants Legion a tal as well as an attack speed bonus for a few seconds, the attack speed bonus increasing if it slays another large jungle creep in a row; Second, _Tals _are small demons from Legion’s vessel that take form and attach themselves to Legion that aid in attacking foes; slaying a jungle monster/Enemy Champion grants Legion a stack that enhances these demons with different effects depending on the number of stacks: increased attack speed, increased lifesteal, faster demon generation, etc. Its first ability, Razing Flurry, swipes its claws forward, damaging the major foe in front of it while causing minor damage to nearby foes; additionally, the fourth consecutive cast of the ability will instead yank the first foe in contact in front of it with its claw and pull them to its location. Voracity, its second ability, causes Legion to passively gain stacks while attacking, after which empowers its next 3 attacks occur in the span of one attack at maximum attack speed (for an effective attack speed of 7.5) at full stacks. When activated, the Tals are consumed by Legion, empowering its vessel with bonus armor and magic resistance for a short duration, as well as having the cooldowns for Razing Flurry and Ravenous Ambush drastically reduced. Its third ability, Ravenous Ambush, causes Legion to pounce forward a short distance, which if pounced on a large jungle creep/enemy champion causes its demons to temporarily latch onto the victim and cause damage over a short period of time. Its ultimate ability, We Are Legion, passively gains more tals and upon activated doubles the number of tals and causes the demons to go into a frenzy for a short duration, with increased movement speed and attack damage.

*Note: I couldn’t think of a proper Ult for this Champion, so if anyone has a better Ultimate then I would love to discuss if it would fit better than this current one I had in place!

Abilities:

*** Passive** The Hunger – Increased damage only, and only, to jungle creeps/monsters by 5 / 15 / 25% of bonus attack damage. Every large jungle creep/monster/enemy champion slain gains a stack that empowers its tals. _Tals _– Legion releases fragments of its vessel that manifest into little demons and are attached to Legion, attacking nearby foes that Legion engages with. Individual tals deal 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 physical damage(+5% AD). At 6 stacks of Hunger, tals lifesteal by 2 / 3 / 4 / 5% of maximum health. Tals spawn every time Legion slays a large jungle creep/monster/enemy champion.

*** Q – Razing Flurry (ACTIVE)** ( 4 / 3.5 / 3 / 2.5 / 2s CD) Legion lashes its claw out, dealing 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90 physical damage to the first enemy hit, while all other enemies nearby take 25 / 50 / 75% of physical damage in a thin cone. Hitting an enemy grants Savagery for 4 seconds, stacking up four times. At four stacks, the next Razing Flurry deals the same amount of physical damage, but also pulls the first foe to come into contact in front of Legion.

*** W – Voracity** (12s CD) (PASSIVE) – Legion builds stacks of Voracity as it continues attacking, up to 100. Once fully stacked, its next 3 attacks are empowered to occur in the span of one attack at maximum attack speed (for an effective attack speed of 6 / 6.5 / 7 / 7.5 / 8) at full stacks. (ACTIVE) – Legion consumes all available tals, gaining bonus armor/magic resistance(20/40/60/80 bonus resistances) for 4 / 5 / 6 seconds, as well as having the cooldowns for Razing Flurry and Ravenous Ambush drastically reduced.

*** E – Ravenous Ambush (ACTIVE)** (16 / 14.5 / 12 / 10.5 / 8s CD) Legion pounces in a target direction(650range), dealing 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90 magic damage to a foe upon landing. If Legion lands directly on top of a target, the foe is stunned for 0.2 / 0.4 / 0.6 / 0.8 / 1 second. Tals latching onto enemy foe deal 3 / 5 / 9 / 12 / 15 physical damage per half second over 1.5 / 2 / 2.5 seconds

*** R – We Are Legion (ULTIMATE)** ( 130 / 115 / 90s CD) (PASSIVE) – Legion gains additional tals, holding up to 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 of them at a time. (ACTIVE) – Legion releases the fury of its demons from its vessel, causing 150 / 300 / 400 magic damage to nearby enemies, slowed by 15% for 2 seconds, and doubling the amount of tals on the battlefield. Tals are also buffed for the next 6 seconds, gaining 40% movement speed and an additional +5% AD.

*Note: As stated before, I couldn’t think of a proper Ult for this Champion, so if anyone has a better Ultimate then I would love to discuss if it would fit better than this current one I had in place!

Okay, if you don't like it fine, move on. But at least have the courtesy to explain yourself and give me feedback so I can rectify how to better edit and fix this concept. The fact that some of you downvote some people's concepts without an explanation is completely absurd.

So basically Bard passive but for Tals ( which sounds like better elise spiders), skarner Q (you dont specify how large the pull radius is, are we talking a thresh E or like a Diana E? (ithink?)) Typhoon claws as a W (granted takes a bit longer to proc, but his dueling is still through the roof also combined with a Jax ult and ryse passive, Nidalee leap with a 1/4th to a full second long stun combined with a malzahar E and then to top it all off An elise Ult level (increased spiders/ tals) and then an aatrox ult + elise spider form W. I really do love the concept of this champion, but your kit seems to be HELLA over loaded. As he stands right now, he would be able to duel any champ in game at level 1 and probably win. not to mention he breaks the jungler rules. He can be very tanky, Gank easily, farm easily and counter jungle easily. Again, really really cool champion concept, but since his early game would be so strong, he would have huge snowball potential. just some thoughts

I don't really like this champion from a thematic standpoint.

Onto the kit itself.

Passive - I'm a little confused as to how this is supposed to work. How many tals can he hold base, exactly? Aside from that, I'm not a big fan of jungle only passives; if people want to play this guy mid or top or support, that should be their prerogative.

Q - Is this the only ability that grants savagery? Also, I don't see any resources on this guy, is he supposed to be manaless? So it's a spammable yasuo Q that can pull?

W - 80 to all defenses is far too big. Also is the voracity passive supposed to just automatically fire off?

E - The first level should get the full 1 second stun, and just leave it that way for all levels. A .2 second stun is basically worthless. Aside from that it's a skillshot gapcloser with mediocre damage.

R - You mentioned not having a good idea for R,

Overall thoughts: This champion has way to much stuff going on for starters, he has too much going on in way of stacks of stuff: he has hunger, tals, savagery, and voracity - that's 3 things too many to keep track of, pick one thing, and base all of his abilities off that. Also, I don't see any scalings on any of his abilities so I don't know what to think of them in a damage respect.

I guess the basic idea is for him to gather tals in the jungle, jump on someone with his E and Q people to death in between auto attacks. All and all his abilities are very straightforward, but there's no compelling mechanic or interesting theme going on here - the tals just do a small amount of extra damage till you consume them, he just keeps bopping people with qs until he pulls them, while randomly getting attack speed boosts. He has a lot of busy numbers bouncing around but none of them really amount to much of interest.

If you really want to make a champion themed around Legion, you should probably have abilies that make stacking tons of mini-demons around actually interesting.

This seems like a really cool champ! An alternative for the ult could be Legion consuming the tals and gaining stats and increased size, it'd fit thematically for the whole "we are many" in one form trope anything named legion has, very cool champ though

I like it a lot! Cool idea. Feels like a Kindred/Syndra Hybrid. Would love to see the art you have for the debut skin!?

I've always wanted a Champ based off of legion.
