5 second rule ARAM

When a Champion is re-rolled, the new system (not so new) allows it to be put up for grabs by other members of the team. Now in some cases the re-roll is not favorable and the player wants his champion back. It happens that someone else has already taken the champion and it's original owner can't go back. Re-rolls sometimes are done for friends or other members who dislike the champ they have. I'm just gonna throw out the idea of a 5 second rule, or less for the player to have priority on grabbing the champion he/she/fairytalepronouns originally had. I myself have "sniped" champions from others, like the game i just played, and I have also been "sniped" my champion in the past. Although I don't think recommendations go far here, I think it would be nice and friendly to allow the original owner to take back his champion. This "sniping" in ARAM has caused a lot of bad words to be thrown around and leads to bad team dynamics.

Why'd you reroll then man

sometimes you'd rather have the one you love rather than one you are okay on but got one you really dont like.

This is one of those issues where someone will always be unhappy; ARAMs are intended to be random and force you to play champions that you rather wouldn't on a normal occasion. If you are able to guarantee a champion you want with a 5 second reroll protection, then it sort of removes the authenticity of the "All Random" aspect that the game mode entails. Though I do see this as maybe creating fewer dodges in this queue-type, and overall increasing the positive experience (since it would allow more players to get what they want) but again it does take away from the original idea of randomness that the game mode entails.

I have every champion and thus get a reroll every game. I always use a reroll if I start at two, just so my team has more options.

But it’s very frustrating if I start with Blitzcrank or Sion, reroll something like Ryze or Kalista, and then attempt to swap back only to see my original champion has already been taken, even though it’s been barely more than a second since I clicked reroll.
