Because you've failed multiple times to learn from Activision-Blizzard's modern mistakes as a game developer:

NEW & IMPROVED = WE'RE GONNA RUIN EVERYTHING AND ACT LIKE WE DID A GREAT JOB.

(Otherwise known as the, "We really like the direction we're moving in," cop out, despite the ~6,500,000 subscribers who told us it was awful and quit.)

For example, let's start off by reviewing Gangplank: What was wrong with Gangplank that determined he needed a new kit and voice overs? Was he not being played enough to your standards? Did not enough people understand how to play him? And to that end, is he now being played more or less since being redesigned?

The point here is that you took the primary aspects that people loved about Gangplank and neutered them. Gangplank was cheated out of an amazing team buff and left with a mostly unreliable ability that gives the enemy team gold every ten seconds. The new voice overs are disappointing compared to the originals and are devoid of personality. Adding customized upgrades to the way his ult works was a good idea, but why the fuck are cannonballs being calculated as magic damage on a physical scaling champ?

That doesn't make any damn sense, and I shouldn't have to be the one to tell you that.

But wait, there's more!

**Next, we have Taric: ** There was perfect harmony in the ways that healer supports worked before the Taric redesign. For the most part, each had their own form of heal-bomb and a CC. Whichever one worked better in different situations was up to the player to decide. Taric's specialty was single target healing and control, and once again, an excellent team buff that would ultimately end up being neutered. His new kit is so bad, so absolutely awful, that I can't help but feel the only thing Taric's redesign was successful at was completely driving away the player base that actually played Taric. Not to mention, once again, new voice overs that completely ruined what people that played Taric enjoyed spamming the entire game.

So kudos, once again, for killing a champ's personality because people were having _ too much fun_.

**But it doesn't stop there! ** (I won't even comment on Galio because that's just an awful experience either way.)

Now, and with great dishonor to the unicorn R7 Crabgot mains, you feel the need to fix another aspect of the game that isn't broken.

So, let me be the first to tell you how that's going to play out:

Do you want to upgrade his character models? - That's fine, it's a bit dated and it shows. Do you want to redesign Crabgot because of the appearance? - Don't, and say you didn't. The redesign looks like garbage, but not in a good way. Do you want to change his kit because people can't do math above a fourth grade level? - That seems like a community problem, not an Urgot issue.

This redesign is an insult to your Urgot players and people that own Crabgot.

So, here's what's gonna happen: You hype up some twelve year olds by getting a couple of pro players to pull Urgot out after the redesign. You get your commentators to talk incessantly about how great the Urgot redesign is to encourage more players to want to pick him. Urgot's pick rate/ban rate spikes around forty times higher from the time of this post for about a month. The type of players you attract to the redesigned Urgot are your BV Yasuo mains (that somehow manage to feed every game in ranked, but will never get banned for it) and people that have conversations with themselves in all chat for the majority of their games.

After that first month, unless Urgot magically jumps from 30-60% win rates to a straight >70% solid, interest in playing him will once again fall off the map. Except you'll have replaced the experienced Urgot players who enjoy the champion for what it is with inexperienced players that want to try playing him in ranked because_ they saw someone else doing it_. I'd go as far to say we can all look forward to the "new & improved" Urgot launch to be similar to Jayce month.

**Do you remember Jayce month? ** It was a solid month where ranked queues were absolutely destroyed because no one knew what they were doing, but everyone wanted to do it. (Kind of like Bronze/Silver Yasuo mains, except at some point people eventually stopped being a malignant cancer with it in ranked.)

So, if your intention is to piss off everyone in ranked for a month or two; Great job! I'm sure there's going to be plenty of bans going around for overt racism and homophobia after the relaunch. Intentionally feeding? Not so much, I'd wager.

One last thing: Break Garen's taunt animation cycles again. Letting people mute pings is the worst idea you've ever implemented into this game.

Specifically, in ranked, the ability to mute pings should not exist. A better solution would be to revert the ability to mute pings by adding a volume slider specifically for pings that would never be able to fully mute them.

I'd go as far as saying you should increase the limit to the number of pings a player is able to make before they get auto-filtered, and reduce the duration of the filter by half for ranked games. If you want to let the kids playing normal games and ARAM mute pings, go ahead. That is not a feature that should ever exist for ranked play. If anything the volume and size of pings should increase with the frequency of pings in ranked. I don't care who gets butt hurt for being pinged to death for playing like they're blind, that's what volume controls are for. If they want to sit in silence because four people are pinging them to stop doing something, that's their problem. Don't make it a problem for everyone else.

Don't fix things that aren't broken. Learn from Activision-Blizzard's mistakes.

The salt is strong in this one...

Anyway, let me point out a few things here. Now I can't speak for Gangplank players, since I don't play him, nor did I ever play him before his rework. But the current Gangplank is a MONSTER when played right and I feel they did a great job reworking his visual and audial theme...

I also dislike how you talk about your fellow players...Just because someone dies a lot, does not mean they should be banned. That they die is simply because they got paired against stronger opponents. Now if people feed intentionally (which I just can't get my mind around why anyone would ever do that in ranked) then yes maybe they deserve a ban, but not everyone who dies a lot is a "feeder".

That said, I CAN say something for the Taric players, since I am a Taric main myself and have been since back before he was reworked. I loved Taric for the character he was and for his place in battle, but he was outdated, both his kit and his visuals. Even I (as a new player to league back when I picked him up for the first time) could see that. With his rework, I feel like his theme and persona only got beter!! It didn't change, he is still the fabulous battle healer he had been, just with more sparkles and awesome voice overs!!! His kit didn't change too much either and left him in the exact same place where he had been for me, just with a more interesting and rewarding kit!! So do not go on jabbing that we aren't happy with his rework!! I loved him back then and I still love him now!! Succesfuly using the new ult, fills me with just as much joy as using his old ult did, only now you actually have to time it right.

As for Urgot, He was NEVER played...I never saw him in game and the only time I did see him was when one of my friends felt like a trol game. That is because his kit and his model were outdated...lets be real, nobody wanted to walk around the rift with the sack of rotten potatoes that he was. His new model looks totally badass and really made me think of trying him some time, not because I saw other people play him, but because I now think he's an interesting champion. Also: what is your problem with the Crabgot skin anyway? It looks WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better then that thing it was before...

Anyway, I like your enthusiasm for rarely played champions, I really do, but I also believe that Riot is just trying to keep their game going...they are still a business in an ever fluctuating industry...interests change, the playerbase changes and thus the game must change with it.

So, does Riot/Tencent pay you to post damage control around their forums or do you just feel the inexplicable need to ride their dick?

This is more feedback for Riot devs than an open discussion for Johnny Givesafuck. **If I wanted to read uneducated opinions, I would be reading Yahoo! news articles. If I wanted to shitpost uneducated opinions, I would be writing Yahoo! news articles. **

You're right about one thing, though: Riot is an entertainment business, and like most professional sports entertainment businesses: Everything's colluded, fixed, and rigged from the ground up.
