The Ink Mage could totally work and he sounds EPIC

I watched this video and began thinking of ideas for how the Ink Mage could work because honestly he sounds so f****** cool that he NEEDS to be in the game. This is my idea for the Ink Mage and how Riot could make it work.

Ink Mage has Ink not mana.

Passive Striking an enemey Champion with a spell or scoring a takedown grants Ink Mage some ink and permanently increased Ink Capacity and regeneration.

Basic Attack Hurl a bolt of Frozen Ink

Ink Mage has 6 different abilities he can cast with the 6 different combinations of Q, W and E. Q, W and E each represent they're own symbol. The combination is crafted and then casted at the cursors location.

R PASSIVE: Now able to draw on the ground, the ink poisons enemies. (DoT). (Drawing on the ground uses ink)

Personal Thoughts, No delay between being able to place symbols. You should be able to cast the craft as quick as you can, a true way of saying "Hey, look how good my muscle memory is, qwe ewq weq wqe..."

His whole aethstetic should be inky and icy. I can imagine a toy box skin called Squid mage.

Grabbing the River plants should have a cool animation of the Mana converting into Ink.

Ruunans huricane should work for are Ink friend.

His 6 abilities should be designed to play alongside each other so that they are not very effective unless used together correctly.

Placing down a symbol should use a very small amount of ink, and each ability should still cost its own amount aswell.

I'd imagine this champion being played Mid.

If any of his abilities were to place a shape on the ground that you could draw inside of, then holding lmb inside that shape should lock your cursor inside of it until you release lmb. This would make the drawing aspect of that ability not tedious in chaos.

Ink Mage doesnt need to buy any items with Mana/Mana regen.

If the cursor is too far away from the previous symbols placed when trying to cast the next one, then the previous symbols disappear and the combination restarts at cursor location. This also happens if you wait to long before finishing the combination.

It's creative, but I think in the high stakes, highly tactical game we have , something this delayed (drawing on the ground, comboing runes together to get your effect) would make this character basically unable to compete against everyone else. A lot of mid laners would eat this guy alive before he can do anything.

I believe you could make the ink mage work in that you could use right click to move around like normal but you could left click to draw things with your, and maybe you could have it so that it is limited what you can draw and what it does. The ink mages passive can be that whenever she kills an enemy target or a monster she gains the soul of the target and gains 1 permanent mana for each minion, 100 permanent mana for each champion the ink mage deals damage to and dies, 150 permanent mana from barron and dragon, 4 permanent mana from the blue buff or red buff, and 2 permanent mana for each cs she has on other jungle monsters. The ink mages q could be a straight line of fire you can fire within the same range of a varus q or xerath w, that would work like victors e (Cooldown: Rank 1; 8 seconds, Rank 2; 6 seconds; Rank 3; 5 seconds, Rank 4; 4 seconds, Rank 5; 3 seconds) (Mana Cost: Rank 1; 200 mana, Rank 2; 175 mana; Rank 3; 150 mana, Rank 4; 125 mana, Rank 5; 100 mana ). The ink mages w could be like twisted fates w where the ink mage can have multiple things she may draw, so instead of waiting to draw the right card like twisted fate, she could instead draw different things, like she could draw something around her to heal her or an allied champion, draw a shape around a champion to slow them and have some armor penetration, or a full on stun for 1 second (Cooldown: Rank 1; 15 seconds, Rank 2; 13 seconds; Rank 3; 10 seconds, Rank 4; 8 seconds, Rank 5; 5 seconds) (Mana Cost: Rank 1; 350 mana, Rank 2; 325 mana; Rank 3; 300 mana, Rank 4; 275 mana, Rank 5; 250 mana ). The ink mages e will allow her to for 15 seconds to move around like kalista can and deal 1 percent more ap damage for how much ap she has scaling with each enemy hit and every 3rd hit she will deal an ap crit chance, like what jhins passive allow him to do. (Cooldown: Rank 1; 20 seconds, Rank 2; 18 seconds; Rank 3; 15 seconds, Rank 4; 10 seconds, Rank 5; 8 seconds) (Mana Cost: Rank 1; 350 mana, Rank 2; 325 mana; Rank 3; 300 mana, Rank 4; 275 mana, Rank 5; 250 mana). The ink mages ultimate; r, will allow the ink mage to put a box around an enemy target like camille's ultimate but instead have the radius of a jarvan's ult but cannot be escaped from flash or any dash, that will allow allies to come in the box but not let any enemy champions enter, unless the enemy dashes in the box or flashes (Cooldown: Rank 1; 300 seconds, Rank 2; 225 seconds; Rank 3; 175 seconds) (Mana Cost: Rank 1; 300 mana, Rank 2; 275 mana; Rank 3; 250 mana). Overall I think the numbers I gave this champion may be a bit too op, but riot can always feel welcome to take the concept of the ink mages mechanics that I brought forward that could potentially work fine, and a bit of tweaks, a graphic design and lore; something blue and have to do with ice and ink, as a imagine this character to somewhat resemble taliyah graphically as they should be rivals, ink against earth. I think the ink mage is a cool concept and can should definitely tried out i pbe and eventually put into the actual game. Any suggestion or tweaks to the numbers or mechanics should be discussed down below. I honestly feel as though this champion would could use some tweaks with its w, as there could be more options to choose from to draw, as you will not need to wait for each option to show up like in twisted fates w, as you could quickly draw the option you would want. FInal Word: Please use this adaptation or any type of adaptation of the ink mage and actually implement it into the game, as I believe the ink mage will be the most fun champion in the game, and for no means does this champion have to fit directly into the meta very well as just goofing around with the ink mage will be fun; after all League of Legends is a game and you should be able to have a bit more fun sometimes, so I do not really expect tis champion to be played in the lcs as much unless it gets reworked after its anticipated release. Overall, this champion will probably be played mid lane majority of the time, and maybe top or support.
