[Champion Concept] Umbra the Living Shadow, (an awesome idea for support!)

**Umbra the living Shadow ** (support, AP assasin)

*Appearance : *human shadow.

Reach : shadow whip (Umbra's arms) middle distance 450.

Concept : My idea is to come back to the true role of support: protection. So Umbra has original skills in this way: she can take damage instead an ally champion and transport an ally to a safe location.

Resources : - Obtenebration power  (Vampire The Mascarade,RPG book) -Peter's shadow ( Peter Pan)

*Background : *Umbra is an unexpected result of studies of Darkness by Noxus's witchers

Skills on Mana

Passive : Darkness

Umbra is invisible in all shadows (units, or sets). Nearly enemy unit can detect her.

*Tentacles of Shadow (Q) * 5 tentacles throw out Umbra's body in front of her (conical area, 450). Tentacles spear enemy units and champions dealing 50/75/125/150/200 (+0,5 AP) magic damages and slowing their movement speed by 5/10/15/20/30 % during 3 sec.

*Chains of Shadow (W) * Umbra plunges her arms into the Darkness, which emerge from the shadow of the target unit for catching or protecting.

Offensive : Umbra strangulates and roots a enemy unit or champion, dealing 50/75/100/125/150 + 0,5 AP magic damages and immobilizing him during 3 sec.

Defensive : Umbra protects an ally unit or champion surrounding him with her arms and takes damages instead her ally (and also additionnal effect) during 3 sec.

During Chains of Shadow, Umbra can not move, but is able to stop this skill at every moment.

Dark Walking(E)

Umbra throws the darkness and emerges from a shadow that she sees.

Mana cost is reduced of half if Umbra is already in a shadow before throwing the Darkness.

Darkness Taking (Ultimate) (R)

Umbra takes a « chained » champion (ally or enemy) to her location.

CD : 75/50/25 sec.

Potential Skins : Umbra the scaring Shadow (like black monster), Umbra Black Cat (so cute), Umbra Shadow Plays.

*Supplementary ideas for fun : *Umbra takes the Shadow Shape of the nearest champion, or Umbra takes Shadow shape among the 9 other champions as skin after picks.

Ehh... Not bad, but there are a few wonky things. First off, the whole interacting with shadows thing is a good idea, but not so good in practice. It unbalances the map (because the shadows aren't symmetrical on both sides of the map). Secondly, the shadows are just graphics; the code only lets stuff interact with hitboxes, so it wouldn't really know where the shadows would even be. Thirdly, when the Summoner's Rift VU comes out, the map's shadows will be in different places, which would change her power significantly. Also, a 3 second single target (non-skillshot) snare is REALLY powerful. The only other snare that long is Morgana's, and it's hard to hit (sure, she doesn't get rooted when she uses it, but that doesn't make THAT much of a difference). Additionally, it's extremely bad to have a move that requires any other specific move to work (such as her ult, which requires her to have her E). Also, her ult doesn't seem very powerful, and it's generally a really bad idea to let a character CC their allies. (Guess what? I'm in the middle of the enemy team! And now, so are you! Have fun dying instantly!)

TL;DR: Champion's can't really interact with shadows, it's a bad idea to let champions CC their allies.

feels like a decent support (plays like zyra/blitz post 6) but the ratios aren't high enough for her to be played as an ap assassin, and she also lacks the mobility present in assassins in general.

Ultimate being able to move an ally without their permission is like a trolls dream come true. I would know, I played a Priest in WoW (Leap of Faith; aka Life Grip)

I must say at level sixteen an ult on 25 second cooldown that controls a champion is pretty OP and thats not even including CDR. :/

Maybe! as i already said in other posts. We are not pro conceptor or designer. Ratios or values just give an idea, stop to focus them !!! Ratios have to be tested !

Judge the concept idea and the originality !

thank you for your comments guys, i m not pro for ratios but the concept could permit to play ap assasin. Mobility with dark walking and invisibilty for that role

ok ryze's snare, do you know maybe? and as i already said, i m not developper ratio has to be checked! and shadows are present why not use like bushes, and ultimate for allies we can imagine that ally accept or not. thank you for your comments but try to be constructive (or helpfull) next time, and not just bitting.

Ultimate depend of E, you re right but E is target specific and not a skill shot, so i don t see the problem.

Moreover you can not exclude troll players but i believe it has not to limit new skills!
