A peacekeeping angel to his allies, a horrifying force of violence to his enemies, if you need a tanky support who thrives in the thick of the fight while keeping his enemies at bay, then you will look no further than Ral.

The Story

Once a Shuriman peacekeeper from an age long past, Ral always kept his position close to his heart. Seeing his devotion to the safety of his fellows, he had been given the opportunity to join the ranks of the Ascended God Warriors. Among this higher purpose, Ral brought his ability to create quick salves and unwavering resolve to bear, bringing those in his war host victory after victory. It was not until the ascended had to contend with their greatest threat that it all went wrong, when the Void was summoned into the world by the city of Icathia. The taint of the Void proved too much, many of those that Ral once called friend begun to turn to madness. With the death of Emperor Azir, they began to fight amongst themselves, where they were once revered by the people, they became fear itself, becoming known far and wide as Darkin. Ral, not wanting to descend as his brothers did, fled Shurima and made his way East toward Mount Targon, climbing to its rocky peaks to try to escape himself. He reached the famed summit and pleaded with whatever may have been listening to free him from his descent. One aspect heard his pleas and after seeing how he held onto who he was...mostly...he was chosen as the next vessel of the Aspect of Peace. Now Ral wanders Runeterra a different man, somewhere deep within himself he feels the call of the Darkin, and must hold onto who he is. It's Ral, or Raal.

Ral's Kit

Passive Jabbing Strikes - Stacks up to 5 times, each stack gives bonus to his other abilities. At 3 stacks he gains a decaying shield equal to x% bonus health. At max stacks this effect refreshes every 5 auto attacks.

Q Make Way! - target direction causing two waves to push all small units and champions a set distance. Based on stacks of Jabbing Strikes the waves gain bonus length Darkin Form: Come Here! - Instead of waves pushing out the waves push in, same rules as above but only castable on self

W Time Out! - Places a shield zone where all incoming damaging projectiles deal damage to the shield instead of the units inside. Shield health is equal to x% of Ral's bonus health and scales with each stack of Jabbing Strikes. If the shield would break due to an attack, half of the damage from that ability is dealt to all units inside the zone. Darkin Form: Time In! - The zone deals damage to all those inside equal to the number of stacks from Jabbing Strikes x% bonus ad every 1.5 seconds each unit stays inside the zone

E Change Places! - Target an allied champion, non epic minions and monsters, or allied wards and change places with them after a 0.5 second delay. Darkin Form - Can no longer target allies but the range of the ability is increased

R Rise and Fall - Swap to Raal and gain a shield equal to the number of stacks of Jabbing strikes x% bonus health Darkin Form - Swap to Ral and heal allies near you equal to the number of stacks of Jabbing strikes x% bonus health

A Brief Explanation Ral is meant to be a supportive champion with plenty of tools to aid his team, even as Raal he has ways to provide utility while thriving in the destruction his inner self craves. With Change Places! he can easily throw himself into the fight, get an ally to safety or even just adjust a ward to place it in that bush we all miss. Ability reliant and a mana user, Ral will start with a point in his R, as a transforming tool like any other transformation spell, whether you find more viability in Ral or Raal, the choice is up to you!
