LoL Ranked improvement idea (Trust Mode)

Hello everyone that read that :) First i want to say that my English is bad but i hope you understand what my idea is.

My idea for the next season in ranked is a Trust factor

Ex: If you verified your account with your Phone you can select an options that means Trust Mode if you select it you only play against other players that also selected it and if you reached the 2~3 games that you were afk in you can't play Trust mode for 2-3 months. I got this idea because i think with a Trust mode you get teammates that are more motivated to play and it reduce the Trolls and AFK player (for this Trust mode)

(If Phone verification is not enough it can be also a Honor Lv + Phone verification for it)

It could be cool, but it would require Riot to fix their game. Right now too many well meaning players get randomly locked out of games because of Riot's mistakes.

makes no sense to get phone verification since anyone can do that lol, I see how this could fix the ranked trolls maybe a better alternative is that, people who have recently left games or have a history of leaving within the month they have a higher chance to get in with the same type of people and vice versa.

(I don't see how phone verification helps in this situation other than you copy pasting CS's system, which effects trading not much of matchmaking)

That is why i also sayed smth. about the honor lv + phone verify :) and yes i also think the idea about people who leave more or troll more get more players like them is good

Could be wrong, but the Phone Verification they were talking about is connected to your account. So everyone can verify their account which then puts them into Trust mode. If they AFK/Troll in 2-3 games, they get taken out of Trust mode for a couple months. That way you are guaranteed to only play with people who haven't AFK'd or Trolled in the last couple months.

Personally I think its a great idea, but there isn't a reason for phone verification. It should just be part of Matchmaking, if someone AFK'd in the last 5 games, I don't want that person on my team specially in a ranked game. Matchmaking should separate people like this from the rest of the community, it would help in toxicity and it would help people climb.

You include the phone verification and limit it to 1 account per phone number, that way people can not give their smurfs a trust factor in addition to their main accounts.

Ok but on their Smurf account, they would have the same system in place. So unless they have 10 smurf accounts all at the same Rank, they wouldn't be able to get away with that for very long. Meaning if they switch to a smurf account, that account hasn't AFK'd, if they then play some bad games they lose their Trust factor on that account too. They can keep creating accounts, but there is nothing Riot can do about that unless they REQUIRE a phone verification to create an account. That would heavily limit their player-base, as most people are like me and don't give out their number to companies.

Sure it would make League better with less players, but less players = less money. I think the system would work fine without a phone verification.

Phone verification prevents people from dodging punishment by playing smurfs. Phone verification is near-necessary in a free game, hence most free games using it.

Tencent is vehemently opposed to phone verification, and virtually anything that prevents people from creating as many accounts as they choose, however. It's very, very unlikely to ever happen due to this fact. Their strong opposition to it has led to some pretty wild speculation, including that they are also responsible for making hacks for a lot of games they have ownership in (like PUBG) and monetizing them. Or, in League's case, account selling. I personally wouldn't be shocked, as it does bolster the Chinese economy, and Tencent is essentially an extension of the Chinese gov.

One thing is definite, though. Honor + verification granting a more enjoyable queue experience would be phenomenal. Which is precisely why it'll never happen in League.

I think using Honor and a Trust system combined would be enough to curb some of the AFKers and Trolls. Sure they would go to Smurfs, but then those smurfs would be in the same system. Smurfs would need a high honor level plus the Trust factor so they would need to be honorable players on their smurfs too. Someone who AFK and trolls on their main account does not strike me as the kind of person who creates a smurf account to be good on, they usually create them so they can vent their anger. Those Smurf accounts would most likely already be on the shit list.

Combining with honor, this placebo system which works in a sorcery and mystery, no thanks.

I won't lick further asses to get my self extra honor to push it forward.

it would be an optional system..... but i imagine with your attitude you wouldn't be in the system anyways.

No, he has a point. The honor system is pretty volatile. It can take one person hundreds and hundreds of honors to hit rank 3 honor, while others get 100 honors and they're rank 5. It's pretty jank, especially as any kind of report (even ones that don't result in any punishment) ruin your honor progress.

I, myself, have been stuck at Honor level 2, 0 checkpoints since... I think March?

he doesn't have a point, the point is about a system designed to allow people who have never AFK'd or Trolled to play ranked games with each other and lower the chance of getting someone who AFK's or Trolls. An OPTIONAL system, so if you really hate it you can just opt out of it.

But I believe Honor system is based on consistency not just how many Honors you get. For example, if you get 100 honors in 100 games, you level up quickly. If you get 500 honors in 1000 games, you don't.

Everyone agreeing how this idea is great and stuff, now answer to question how you will determine if player is trolling or not? And you got the same dillema...

Yes, any form of feature along these lines makes 100% sense when implemented in a competitive environment, which is why Riot will never do it :)))))))))

Dota 2 has a very similar system, which works great. I'm glad someone finally suggested that League do the same thing.

I like the concept, just needs to be tweaked. I'm all for putting the toxic, afkers, and trolls in their own pool while everyone else plays together

There's no reason for phone verification though. The game already collects hardware data, they can just use that as the unique identifier.

It would hurt PC bangs sure, but that's probably not a bad thing at the end of the day since if i recall correctly Korea already requires a valid SSN to be linked so the system could naturally be excluded from that region.

It's an amazing idea, but there's no need for phone verification: just, as you wrote, take into account how many times a player went afk. If such a system were to be implemented, rankeds would be way, way better.

It would make trust mode players to wait forever. 99,9 of the players don't even know what phone verification is, and much less bother using it. Also it would bring back the beg for honor style for trust mode for a time. Until people realize, that it's worthless.

Queues would be much longer and therefore Riot would never do it. Its not a bad idea its just...... a bad idea because it would cost Riot money and that's something they just not going to do.
