Why on earth did they rework Taric?

I get that they wanted to increase his low play rate. I get it. The only problem is, the new rework hasn't done that. I appreciated the old Taric's kit even if it was a bit boring. He was an excellent champ to play on a laggy connection, and his lock on stun was one of the best counter-gank abilities in the game. He could use it to protect his adc from sneaky assassins while healing them and increasing their armor. Now his stun is an extremely clunky and delayed skill shot, almost (but not quite) as useless and Sion's knock up. He used to be one of my go to champs when I played support and he was especially deadly when paired with the powerful monstrosity that is Mrs. Fortune's ult. Why can't they just bring the old Taric back? If anything, the new rework chased away what little of us actually liked to play Taric.

His kit was stale, was basically useless until late game when he got enough mana and cdr to spam his abilities.

New taric is still pretty much a late game support crippled by high mana costs but that ult tho

I LOVED to play Taric andIi still do. His old kit was fun and all, and I miss it, but the new kit is WAAAY more interesting and fun to play with. I mained the old Taric and now I main the new one. Nothings gonna stop me from playing with my Bae ;D

I like Old Taric, yes, but he looked terrible and his kit was kinda dull. New Taric has a great kit and makes him more than just a walking ball of stats that he gives to people. His Dazzle is WAY more effective than the old Dazzle because he can now stun an entire team instead of one unlucky person, and a good Taric player will be able to time and position his stun for best effect. Don't knock him, he's a great champion and has a lot more going for him than the Old Taric.
