Now i know she is not the longest without a skin, nor am i saying that she needs one before anyone else, but seriously

FOUR YEARS

That's how long rek'sai has been neglected in the skin department and i've heard so many excuses as to why and yet none of them are any sort of valid, her last skin was poolparty Rek'sai, June 25th 2015 which was then updated to have chromas.
That's it. a champion who's changes got her extreme playrates and pro scene playabilty. Left without any sort of attention from the skin department. A few nerfs and buffs here and there and she is still only with one skin that was conceptualized during her release.

God Forbid, Lux or Kai'sa go 4-5 months without a skin. Seriously. Kai'sa has 4 skins and has a 5th coming. She has been out for a little more than a year.

God Forbid a champion who isin't a posterchild for the game get some attention every once in a while.

Oh well. Still going to main this LandShark of a champion. Hoping the Meme is broken this year and she get's a skin but, you never know.

Champions whose skins sell get skins. That's all there is to it.

The only incentive they have to make a skin for a champion who's unpopular in that regard is if it can translate to a better overall relationship with the playerbase. Which can indirectly lead to higher player retention and possibly introduction of new players, increasing sales that way.

So then you ask yourself, why would they spend labor on a high-risk/low-reward indirect method of profit when they can make skins they know are going to sell?

Granted, it also doesn't help that more often than not the skins they've made for champions who were neglected have been terrible, skewing their sales numbers.
