The new Gangplank skin and how Riot is mistreating this all....

Let's get started off the bat. I've played gangplank for a long time now; Owned him already but started playing him again since the rework. I thought it's cool that they're taking older characters from Bilgewater and making them viable again, to the point that they're no longer jokes. (MF is sadly left out and GP is the only one to be taken into hand) Today, I heard the news of his new skin while still wondering when I can play him again. I personally thought it was cool that he was getting a new skin, UNTIL I realized it would become his Classic skin and his OG skin would be put on the market to be sold. Those who played him during the Bilgewater acts would be rewarded with his original skin for free. That's nice, BUT... It's fucking stupid that they're taking the Classic skin of a champion and putting it up for sale, while giving him a new, trashier skin with a cape, his boobs flapping out, and blitzcrank's arm with Sultan Gangplank's sword literally taped onto it, I think it's horrible. I for one, will not be playing with this skin and will be playing with the "Captain" Gangplank skin (or, y'know, you could just call it Classic and make this new trashy skin up for sale, since you're doing THAT EXACT CONCEPT WITH CAPTAIN FORTUNE). That's not where it ends though. I've been looking at my launcher for a few minutes now, and am looking at Gangplank's page through my Champions page. I don't really see any old skins... In fact, all i'm seeing is his classic skin... Are you telling me, that you're giving a champion that you just majorly buffed (and gave a new skill to even) A trashy skin and selling his older cooler skin on the market (for most likely 450, where it SHOULD BE FREE). Also, I've bought a gangplank skin... The Sultan one... Are you telling me, that the money I put into that skin to buy it, has now just vanished...? I think Riot's trying to go for a whole new champion out of the ashes of an older one... At least GIVE US A WARNING. This was totally out of the Bilgewater blue and also a stupid idea. I hope Riot sees this, and maybe more feedback, so that they can realize that they've fucked up and maybe make his "new" skin a skin you can buy similar to Captain Fortune's skin... Gangplank Not exactly happy about this Rito.

Yeah, and here's a bonus middle finger. I bought him during the event. (I'd always loved him on Rotation, but figured now was a good opportunity to buy him.) Then they did this whole Treasure Planet reject looking thing.. Since it's a champion update, now I suddenly can't refund... Bandit Riot skin when?

I get your frustration, because I'm pretty annoyed to (I'd like to actually play GP), but wow don't you think your response is going a bit overboard?

If you think they screw up so bad, why keep playing? Think it's time for you to get to bed with all the rage you have built up there my friend.

I think after some tuning so it were to look more like the concept art of the "new" base skin it would heaps better - as with the "new" Fiora on the PBE.

The problem is you haven't read or felt inclined enough to read the lore of the entire lore event. GP flippen "died" because MF blew him up. This is the result of him surviving and making his way back to Bilgewater. Its not crappy considering he lost his throne, his ship, his arm, and his entire position in life. He looks like a bum cuz he essentially a ruined king.
