We need theat , we need a Runeterra new war ...maybe Bilgewater vs Shadow Isles.
We allready have: Zaum vs Piltover Noxus vs Demacia was Noxus vs Ionia
Or maybe : Void Invade the Runeterra , or Void vs Shurima.
This comunnity need events , and story :D
Riot seems to be spending a lot more time on the lore on the game, no matter how awesome a catastrophic event could be, you have to consider how it would affect the rest of the game. If there was a war the League would collapse, and they would have to explain how the league would come back together. As the League was formed after the first war(s). They could definitely introduce some new game modes but they would probably have to release new champions too. Would be interesting to see, like for instance when you enter queue your team of 5 is randomly assigned one of the nations and can only pick champs from said nation. The problem this presents is that some of the nations do not have enough champions to fit every role. Shurima has two top laners, a mid Laner and an ADC. They have no jungler not a support. Same thing for the Shadow Isles they have a support, top and ADC beyond that they have no one.
As far as a cause of the conflict it could be a corruption in the League causing it to fall apart, leaving the nations alone who may have already been hostile. Was thinking the corrupters would be Noxian or of the Void. Then as the Void creatures enter Runeterra it tips the peace and war breaks out.
