I am maxed level and have all the champs. I just keep building IP and have nothing to do with it. I think what RIOT should do is make skins available for IP but make them EXTREMELY expensive. I know there are a lot of people out there in my same situation; lets make this a reality. Help me get this thing up.
I prefer getting skins the hard way, with $$ of course, it makes me feel worth it especially getting those legendary skins through mystery gifts. Or else, we would be seeing these type of situations:
Me: Hey, nice Spirit Guard Udyr skin! How you get it? Mystery chest?
Udyr: Nah man, I spent all my time down in my mom's garage 24/7 for 6 months gathering all that itty bitsy IPs of about 6000000IP to buy it.
**Me: **....wow you sure are lifeless
stuff u can waste IP on, that could possible be of some benefit now or in the long run:
new Champs: Of course, if u play more then a few games a day, you'll have well enough IP by the time a new champ comes out, as the gap is ever increasing it feels.
Rune pages: If you don't have max number, get them, make pages for your top champs, or gag pages for Aram/Bots to just have fun with. Like pure mana when playin Ryze/blitz/kass. or Pure crit for GP/Yasuo.
Runes: get every rune. Riot does change the effectiveness of different runes once in a blue moon. Never know when runes can become good. Also see my Rune page answer.
Summoner Name change: Have a flavor of the month name. When u main a different champ, change ur name to match it.
Riot will never make Skins available for IP. They are one of the main sources of income for them on this true Free to Play game. everything needed to play this game is available via IP, which is free (all be it time consuming). Skins are non-gameplay affecting things. Same with summoner icons, and Ward skins.
If your IP is upsetting you because you have too much of it, maybe you're playing this game too much.
Unless you are talking about really cheap skins like basic recolors or something I can't agree. Riot makes no money from people simply playing the game. This is how they and many other companies make their money by selling skins and costumes to players to change the looks of things. Hell Dota2 even sells difference announcer packs which is freakin awesome.
The guy has a point here, think about it. people oftentimes buy champs with RP because they're too lazy to get IP And having it at incredulous prices (1000 IP for ONE RP) would fix the problem.
Believe it or not, it's possible to get EVERYTHING in the game with ip, given enough time, except skins. I support this idea.
