Vladimir or Aatrox?

I'm currently trying out vladimir and he's good. The only problem (VERY ANNOYING) is keeping his e fully stacked. It bothers me spamming his e every 5 seconds to keep the 4 stacks.

Or is there another top laner better for ranked?

As far as AP top laners go, Ryze is VERY strong right now. He could be worth a try. Don't get too attached though; I smell a nerf coming at some point.

In my opinion, I prefer the Vladimir better for outrange insta-pokes & sustain. It's not really too necessary to always keep having your E fully stack, you'll just hurt yourself.

I can say Aatrox is also a pretty good top laning champ, but will all the range metas like Ryze, Gnar & Vayne, he is better suited as a jungler.

Also one note, just saying, Aatrox counters Vladimir . Just to keep your toes on before going top laning phase as Vladimir.

As a Vlad main it hurts my eyes to read the I MUST HAVE 4 STACKS mantra here. Early game you are not looking to spam your e if anything only use it to prevent the wave early from pushing into your turret. If you decide to poke with it walk up E----->Q and walk away and let the stack fall off and repeat. You do this because Early game before you have spell vamp spamming Vlad's e just kills you and the extra healing does not out way the cost even with Q heal. One stack e lets you trade and heal equally as well while trading indirectly thin your wave which will help when you have to last hit under tower. Once you have spell vamp it's honestly all skill level and knowing your Vlad and what you can and can't heal through and trade. Aatrox is a lane bully but fails in comparison to power and utility Vlad has late game with Rylais and Ultimate damage amplifier. Tbh I would choose Vlad but then again playing a champ because they are strong vs you liking them and their play style is huge. If you play a champ you hate and suck with vs what you like and are good with that op champ will most likly lose you games because your not having fun. Vlad has poor match ups like every champ and teams he doesn't fit in to well or at all but I have made him work because I love Vlad the feel his kit etc and obsessively played him to about 2.5k wins and now my skill is so high I'm comfortable with him in even sketchy match ups :D
