Ludion - The Summoner's Marionette
#Ludion - The Summoner’s Marionette#
**Basic Concept: ** Ludion is a melee Jungle and Support champion, relying on strong control to lock up kills in lane or when he comes in for ganks. High burst damage makes him a powerful all-in champion, and he has nearly unparalleled utility in team fights with his ultimate. However, Ludion has fairly little consistent poke in lane and has low health compared to other melee support champions, allowing him to be easily worn down. Additionally, few of his abilities can be taken full advantage of in duels, making him susceptible to enemy invades when jungling.
Specific numbers are rough, and I am totally open to altering those. I hope you enjoy the concept.
#Abilities:#
{Passive} Magic Strings For every 200 ability power Ludion has, the duration over which any of his slowing effects decay is increased by one second.
{Q} Marionette Minions Spell Category: Skillshot Range: 800 Cooldown: 14/12/10/8/6 (Stores up to three stacks. 0.4 second cooldown between each cast) When the ability is cast, its area of effect is shown on the ground. The attack launches after 0.3 seconds. This delay is reduced by 0.15 seconds for each successive casting within three seconds. All enemies within the area of effect of the ability are dealt 50/100/150/200/250 (+60% AD) physical damage. Marionette Minions has no cast time and does not interrupt Ludion’s movement.
{W} String Dance Spell Category: Targeted Ability Range: 650/675/700/725/750 Cooldown: 16/15.5/15/14.5/14 Ludion leaps to a target area dealing 50/60/70/80/90 (+40% AD) physical damage to enemy champions or neutral monsters within a small area and applying a 15%/20%/25%/30%/35% slow that decays over four seconds.
{E} Tangle Spell Category: Skillshot Range: 1000 Cooldown: 18/15.5/13/10.5/8 Ludion fires a knot of strings in a straight line, dealing 70/90/110/130/150 (+30% AP) and applying a 30%/35%/40%/45%/50% slow that decays over four seconds to the first target struck.
{R} Puppet Master Spell Category: Targeted Ability Range: 750 Cooldown: 80/65/50 seconds. Ludion controls and silences targeted enemy champion for 5 seconds. During this time, any spells cast by Ludion are cast from the controlled champion instead. String Dance moves the controlled champion instead of Ludion if cast during this time. Ludion may not move while this ability is active. Controlled enemy champions still control their own basic movement and may still autoattack.
#Character Dialogue and Actions:# These are a few ideas for what Ludion would say and how he would behave. These aren't complete, but I wanted to give an idea of how the character would act.
Selection: “The puppet’s dance begins again.”
Movement: “I shall follow.” “As you say.”
Taunts: “My wish is your command.”
Joke: Ludion would spin around and become tangled in his own strings, later untangling as the joke concludes.
Joke Quotes: “Don’t worry, no strings attached… sort of.” “I’ll make you a puppet to a puppet… puppetception.”
Ultimate: Strings, like those attached to Ludion, would appear around his fingers, disappearing slightly below them in the same way that his own strings fade into the air above his head. Ludion would slightly move his arms and fingers, as if controlling a marionnette. Casting String Dance during this time would cause Ludion to wildly cast his arms in the direction of the leap.
Ultimate Quotes: “Dance!” “Obey my will.”
#Lore:# As the Fields of Justice were being constructed, there became a necessity for a subject on which to test the new practices that would be employed by the League of Legends to summon champions and make them do battle to decide the fate of nations.
The solution came in the form of a puppet of sorts, one that could be controlled with magic. The summoners named this puppet Ludion.
Once the Fields of Justice had been carved from the landscape of Runeterra, the summoners no longer had need for the beaten puppet, and he was lost beneath the earth and stones of the Summoner’s Rift.
Years passed, and many battles were fought on the grounds of the Rift, and each battle left more magical energy in the dirt and grass of the arena. The puppet, Ludion, left beneath the soil, gathered energy from the leaked magic, and his dormant figure eventually began to turn and struggle in what should have been its final resting place. Ludion emerged from the ground in a shower of earth and a tangle of strings once used to guide him through the Fields of Justice. Ludion had returned, and he now controlled his own destiny, no longer dependent on the summoner’s that had abandoned him.
Ludion proved quickly to be a fierce opponent in the Fields of Justice as he attacked the champions that had supplanted him in his role. Eventually, the magic powering the puppet began to wear thin, and Ludion collapsed onto the ground. The summoners approached his crumpled form and looked on in shock at what had become of the wooden figure they had once jokingly named. Recognizing his newfound power, it was decided that Ludion would once again be able to walk the Fields of Justice with a summoner’s aid, this time as a champion rather than a test puppet.
Thank you very much for reading. All feedback is appreciated.
ult but with strings and also kinda like
ult and also like
with his turretts and the duration of his ult would be the time it takes for champion to get back in the fight so the time wait that starts when u die also he amount of damage dealt would be the champs own damage so if they a are carrying they would carry your team for but for some time
grab and then pulls ludion the the champ and then applies a slow or a better thought be to be that the he could use his e n a friendly champion and then pull himself to them for reinforcements like back upand if he lands his e they both or he benefits with a a burst a of movement speed
and his w that lets him ward jump or help jump for a buff so why have it apply a movement buff if jumps to any champion friendly or not
