Feedback on new Evelynn

Long-time league player -- from the beginning. Took a short break and came back to see Evelynn, my favorite champ, erased and replaced by a lesser champion. I made it through the last rework okay, and adjusted my play style. The reason I am posting under "concepts & creations" is because not only did you change the way she plays, but also made her unrecognizable and erased what I loved about the old Evelynn.

Regarding play-style, Evelynn was hard to play but rewarding, and flexible in that she was a hybrid AP/AD. She was fun to play as an AD champ. No longer.

In terms of art and voice, the old Evelynn was dark, playful, and feral -- you could see it in the way she moved. You didn't maintain any of that feel. The new Evelynn is snooty and murderous, but not in a fun way. I miss "The night is my veil". Instead I get stories of wearing a man's skin as clothing. Creepy and gross -- not fun or playful. All my custom skins have been replaced. Couldn't you have at least left the old skins in place for veteran players?

Has this happened to another champion during a rework? Was she so hated that you had to erase her and replace her with a different champ?

This isn't the correct board to post this. Its also a little late for feedback but go ahead and feel free.

I disagree that new Evelynn isn't playful. Your either ignoring parts of her VO and personality (have you seen the way she leaps with glee and a happy clap when she uses her W?) or your entirely against a rework and couldn't be pleased with it.

Old Evelynn was very difficult to balance and she wasn't very fair for the enemy. In fact a lot of her gameplay would need changing in order for her to work.

One of the biggest differences between old and New Evelynn's play style was using stealth to gap close because they couldn't see you until you were right next to them and using stealth to flank them rather than close the gap. New Eve has to be more creative and land her charm.

Her burst should feel largely the same if you can land charm, spam Q with a nuke on E.

I as well would have liked if she could remain AD and AP, but hybrid was a result of poor design and was sometimes hard to make work.

Anyways, to your question at the end: they can't let people use the old Evelynn skins because she looked trashy and they don't want that art representing their game.
