The Skin Line with so Much Potential that Never Sees the Spotlight
As you know there are many great skin lines. There's Star Guardian, Project, Mecha, and so on. Then there are the skin lines that aren't as good in my opinion, like Heartseeker, Commando, and Program. However, between the bad and the ugly there is another: the forgotten.
There are many skin lines that were used years ago only to have Riot never release a skin of their kind again whether it is because it's a bad concept, ugly design, or not being able to find a champion to fit it's theme. Examples of retired lines:
- Corporate (Gragas, Mundo)
- Hired Gun (Lucian, Graves)
- Fishing (Jax, Fizz)
These are great lines, but there is one line that has been forgotten that has great potential...
Mafia.
The Mafia line, or gangster line, is such a great concept. A street type criminal concept can fit so many characters. So many champions can fit a theme of "edgy" or "rebellious". A great example is Tahm Kench. He's a big demon frog. His lore is about him making deals and being malicious? Sound familiar? Criminals do that. I mean even the Mafia type clothing can look great on him. A black hat there, and a suit there, and boom, he's a gangster catfish. Even It's name can sound cool: Grandfather Kench or Don Kench.
